    Yeah thats the thing. But honestly, there isn't a reliable supercharger kit either IMO. Mine has been and utter PITA.

    Really there is no such thing as a simple boost mod.

    I am hearing if a twin Turbo 3.5 L Tundra coming out. I believe it’s the same engine as the Lexus LS 500. It could be reliable I guess. The supercharger has been a TRD deal for a while till 2015. That’s why it’s kinda the way to go. But I’m sure Lexus would not put out something unreliable. I’m not sure our engines can be reliably turbo charged as TRD didn’t take that route. But I really don’t know.

    Anyway so my little experiment with octane booster.... I was using 2 gun outs per tank and can lug it a lil more. After 4 tanks, The side effects are (besides the crap is $6 a tank), I started getting a weird thing happening. Like I can feel like a subwoofer base under my seat Intermittently. So I stopped using it and used a gas treatment and now base is gone. WTF. I only knew that was it because everything else is new like the timing belt, WP, belts etc...

    TRD didn’t take that route because it’s much more complex than just a single unit bolt on. Emissions are also (probably) much easier to comply with when you don’t heavily modify exhaust. I’m not sure if any company makes a CARB legal turbo kit for a N/A application.

    It’s absolutely not because it wouldn’t be reliable. A roots supercharger definitely adds more stress to the engine. More heat, more load at low RPM, and far more stress on the crankshaft.

    Yeah my afr sensor is right after my TRD headers at the front of the cat. The guy that welded the bung for me told me he preferred not to drill into the headers for it and risk getting metal shavings into the system or something like that. I have a pic somewhere I can find and post later. Of course if you drilled the hole into the headers before you installed them you wouldn't have to worry about metal shavings.

    Stock again- rip slug
    Shit was in my blind spot. I was reversing from a parking spot at the gym to go home. I was parked too close to the curb on passenger side but figured I'd just hop the curb and be omw. The pipe was in my blind spot and since I had the wheel turned to the left; my truck just ate the pipe, allowed it to go thru my fender wall, barely scuffing my outer fender, and wedged me in place there between bumper and frame. My dad had to come out to help me get out bc he had to lift up the half held on bumper above the pipe while I reversed out.


    Ya live and learn my friend. Luckily it only cost me 200 dollars for a new bumper off Amazon, went with a black one and enjoyed it way more than chrome lol. Anytime I break shit I see it as an opportunity to replace it with something better

    I have the single cat so there is a separate additional piece inbetween the header and cat with more room, so should not be an issue. Will see when the headers come in

    Well, yesterday now I guess, I took that (what I consider to be) useless cubby on the back of the DC center console, and added accessories to make it actually useful.
    Up top, a pair of USB outlets, bottom is, a power port, and a pair of Anderson plugs.

    Just drilled holes in the cubby, and ran power from the auxiliary battery distribution panel.

    And in the dash, another set of USB outlets, with a voltage meter for the auxiliary battery.
