I have done that twice now. I am done for a few years. All the paperwork needed sucks. Plus, California...

85 day escrow for me here in Cali, then again the occupants of the house were not very bright with following up in a timely fashion so after every signature we had to wait for them to respond. But if everyone's ready and willing, my friend got the keys 30 days from initial offer.

I wasn't meaning the process in CA. I meant there is no way I am buying in CA unless the market collapses. I won't be here for more than a few years as is.

Oh, I enjoy collecting patches from the military units I interact with or National Parks I visit because they have a meaning and remind me of something I did. What does a patch with some band logo and TW smashed together do for someone?

Make them feel exactly the same way.

Did you put this sentiment in your wishlist so your Santa doesn't get you any of the wrong patches?

Alright everybody, you heard her. Daria says to move all of the negative comments into the 'what did Santa bring' thread going forward.

No negativity in Secret Santa this year. Hoping I won’t have to swing any hammers in TWSS2019.

He’s good. He’s up to a mile on his daily walks. Just fighting with short term disability at this point. He’s at 4 weeks without pay. I’ve already called the surgeons office today to light a fire under their ass to fill out the paperwork so beard can get paid. Still have another 2-3 weeks before he returns to work. I’m looking forward to simpler times next year. Less doctors, insurance, etc to worry about.

Progress that is good to hear! Yes, the Dr's can be an absolute pain with the paperwork. I spent a little time on short term myself and had some issues getting back to work and had to get quite demanding to get some return to full duty paperwork filled out.
    Praying everything continues to improve!

This is why savings accounts are important. It helps that I also sold the 4runner and Toyota buggy. I’ve never understood why it’s so hard to get short term disability approved. But I swear they want to break people down and make them give up so they don’t have to pay out. So frustrating.

I’m looking forward to kicking back and relaxing with the beard tomorrow. Got a small smoked ham, miso flavored stuffing, collard greens, and homemade mac & cheese on the menu for lunch. It’s supposed to rain so it’ll be a good day to watch movies and chill.

Happy Thanksgiving to you guys. Great to have the ability to finally relax after that. It's raining here at the moment and also hope it lasts throughout the weekend so we can just kick back in front of the fire with our pup and watch movies. Wishing you guys the best!

With so many useless people abusing the system I'm not surprised. It happens at our work all the time.
