Deer hunting BS thread

Yeah she’s pretty happy with it. Add that to her collection.

I don’t hunt just figured I’d show it off a little. She looks good to. Added bonus

 

I just got my permission slip signed to take our son when I get home, I'm gonna see what he does and how excited he gets if we see something worth shooting. Only taking his gun. I was stringing beer in our store the other day and put the box on him, told him he had to wear orange, it's the law

This will be his and mine first hunt together this year, baby girl wants to go to but that will be another day!

So cool. I remember going with my dad as a kid. My son is almost 4 and my dad has been asking to take him to watch some deer. Oh the memories

 

We have fun for sure, he’s been going with me since he was 3. He finally has his own rifle now so we’ll see what happens.

I remember going with my dad and brother, lots of fun times.

From a few weeks back - shotgun hunt. I was sitting on the ground in the fence row and he came the opposite direction I was expecting, less than 10 yards away before he took off - very exciting. Shot my first buck 9 years ago from about the same spot.


Flipped through and realized I didn't post last year, 2018 shotgun buck. He was a nice deer.

I was able to take a doe last year with my 6 y/0 son and was a blast. He recovered this years with me so he likes it, just doesn’t want to sit and wait

 

The basket also came from Harbor Freight for about $40, fits in a 2” receiver, supposed to handle up to 300lbs.

 

We didn’t see any deer but we had a great time.

 

Yeah even youtube in a comfy shooting house only buys me an hour or so before the complaints start rolling out haha

Nice ,congrats to your son . I’ve been hunting over 40 years and have yet to get one that big

 

Getting tired of this rain . We had thunder and lightning today . One lightning strike was too close for comfort . I never descended a ladder stand so quickly

 

Same here He's got me beat too. But he hunted hard all year and earned it. One of my favorite hunting memories
