well, I left out the part about how I was also still half drunk on cheap whiskey...which probably makes the 'nearly died' part that much more true

The cheap whiskey almost makes it bearable. Almost.

not when you wake up at 3am with a killer urge to pee and a brutal headache and dehydrated as hell from plastic bottle whiskey...and freezing your nuts off (literally)

Oh and did I mention I was thirsty....and my water bottle had frozen solid. Yeah that also sucked lol

That night taught me two things - plastic bottle liquor is never a good idea under any circumstance, and always sleep with your water bottle in your sleeping bag if it's freezing outside

with how little I've been able to this last few months it already feels like that :( More reason to get out next weekend the 7th-8th if I can

Oh did I tell you I bought a front bumper? Got prayn4surf's All Pro Apex plate bumper and skid plate combo (have to ditch my skids since only AP skids are compatible only with AP bumpers). Picking them up on the 5th

Little worried the AP skid isn't as beefy as my Budbilt one (and I've managed to mangle that one), but we'll see. Be nice to shave a little weight off the skids though if it is smaller.

I'm still trying to get up to Holcomb Valley Trail on Saturday Morning. Probably go as early as possible, and try to get back in the early afternoon, traffic permitting. I don't know how bad traffic will be on saturday, since most people are probably out of the area for the whole weekend, and wouldn't be coming home until Sunday...

Might be good or it might be terrible...lot of people out of town but then again, a lot of people in town with family that they might try taking up into the mountains to see the first big snowfall. Getting stuck going up that highway in traffic especially with a stick shift is a nightmare lol.

yeah I'm excited to install them...probably the worst time for me to be dropping that much cash on the truck but it was a great deal for the combo, so I figured now or never

I'm thinking if I get up early enough, like leave Pasadena by 6 am, I won't hit much traffic going up. I could hit Green Valley road around 730, and go up to Holcomb Valley Trail, maybe hang out at that campground, and then come out to Fawnskin via Coxey, and then down the mountain, I should be back by the early afternoon, and be ahead of most of the traffic... But hey, with weather, and people being people, who knows how that would actually play out...

@eon_blue If we get up early, the traffic uphill will be minimal. its coming down that I'm worried about traffic, which is easier on your stickshift. I vote you come along :D

haha I would but Saturday is when I'm camping with my family. If by chance they agree to do Big Bear then I'll let you know, but I highly doubt it with the snow and all. My dad will probably agree to do Gorman instead
