Up the street from my house there's a Landcruiser that's been parked in a driveway for the whole 2.5 years I've lived here and I think it's only moved a few times. Looks to be the same year as yours though I'm not 100% sure. The more I see it sitting the more I want to go ask if they'd be interested in selling it.

Look for a round rotary switch in left side of dash left of steering wheel for the lockers. If it's got the lockers, make an offer:D

After having bought an extra 2 or 3 wire cutters I found the set I thought I lost in another tub of misc. gear.

From my storage got my controller, ps4, and some extra ram for Tyler.

At least tomorrow when I'm alone on Thanksgiving, I'll be gaming it up

that's the worst part about not having a garage for me, we have a small storage shed in our backyard that I have my tools "organized" in (as best I can in a small space with a bunch of other crap in it). So many times I can't find something so I run out and buy another, then get home and find the damn thing I was looking for lol.

1st, drop to neutral, 1st.... drop to neutral.... 1st............ drop to neutral.... sometimes getting lucky letting it engine brake still in 1st. Yes when I drive on the i10 in the mornings here, my young 24 y/o knees even start to cringe

Has never bothered me much, I've lived in LA county for all of my driving years (17+) and had a manual for about 15 of those years.

Only time I've not enjoyed it is if I'm stuck in stop/go traffic on a steep grade, like going up into the mountains. I usually look for alternate routes if I know that's going to happen. But for 99% of the time I don't feel its an inconvenience, and the enjoyment I get out of driving one far exceeds the rare occasion where I get annoyed by it.

Manual Tacoma or something else? The Tacoma has such a light clutch that it's rarely an issue, though I have driven other cars with much heavier clutches that I think would get more irritating in traffic. I don't feel much resistance at all with the Taco clutch. The manual trans Challenger I drove a few years back (rental car in MO, oddly they had manuals available)...that clutch was like pushing a cinder block with your foot.

TBH my ram I had for 8 years prior was an auto and I learned stick on the taco. Going to stick I doubt I'll go back, just for reference even given driving in traffic daily. It's just so much more fun to drive a stick, and tbh my taco would've been much more of a DOG auto bc I can control my RPM's when the 2.4 l actually starts to wake up

I dailyd mine with a heavy clutch in Denver and Houston traffic for years. My left leg was visibly beefier than my right

It was meh, I found myself paying more attention to traffic and driving safer than with an auto. As I get older the auto is more appealing though

Me too, that's exactly why I plan to always have at least one manual vehicle in my possession...unless something extreme prevents it from happening (serious injury/pain or something). I broke my foot when I was 22 and still drove my manual Scion with the moon boot cast on, that was interesting.

I like feeling connected and in control of the vehicle, the auto takes away a big piece of that. Some people like it (most people do actually), but I guess I'm just one of the odd ducks that prefers to do more work when I drive lol.

That's what appealed to me as well. I know innately what gears at what mph's to run, as well as with an exhaust I can base shit off sound if needed. Makes driving connected like you said, keeps you on your toes. Plus nothing beats less wear on brakes with engine breaking. (and the cool obnoxious sounds it makes with an exhaust. When people are asses you can cut them off and dump a gear on em lolol)

That's true with the V6 but the 4cyl Tacomas are notoriously painfully slow with the auto trans, much better with manual

No clue about the 2.7l's, but my 2.4l does not. I'm a 5 lug base with non power windows as well tho; so no clue if that plays into anything

I forgot yours is a manual though so it wouldn't have that feature, its only on autos...changes the shift points to a higher RPM for them. When I had my auto v6 Prerunner I kept it on all the time.

Yeah I think that's true most everywhere now. My buddy got a killer deal on a used 2012 Civic with a manual trans because it sat on the lot for so long.
