Put it on the track in Bristol! Those turns are a little sketchy in a truck when you’re doing 15mph!

Where did you get the after market hog light switch? Is it just a plug and play, or do I need to do any wiring?

Just bought this 08 manual 2x4 a few days ago. So far I changed the engine oil, trans gear oil, cleaned air filter, bought stock wheels ( it had some aftermarket fancy wheels) not my style. I plastidiped them black. Just had new tires put on today, 235/75R15. Cleaned the hell out of the interior, got all the bumpers and rubber trim restored to a fresh black ( they were super oxidized). Also, I removed the towing leaf spring helpers that were making the rear end feel like a pogo stick. Next is a stereo upgrade. Planning on a new head unit, a 2 channel amp to power the woofer and tweeters. Just need to figure out what amp and speakers to buy. I played around on crutchfield a bit. They recommend for a small car, or truck, a 50 watt amp should be fine. I don’t need an earth shattering system, just something that sounds clean and solid. Oh, and me being short works well with this single cab. Once I got my seat all adjusted, I have like a foot of room behind me, it’s like my own little access cab ! My wife is not too crazy about it though, being that it’s a bench seat!

Thanks for the info. How long does it hold up for? Generally speaking from what I can tell the gels/lotions do a great job restoring the darkness/gloss, but particularly do not last very long, especially with exposure to water (i.e. rain, washes, etc.).

That’s what I read too, before I purchased it. I usually get a couple months out of it before I do a another quick coat. I got the gel because I read lots of reviews saying it holds up better to rain. We’ll find out tomorrow, during the terrible drive in the rain down the grapevine.

Keep me posted on how it holds up.

I've was flip flopping between going with a lotion/gel type restorer VS a clear liquid type (i.e. Gtechniq C4, Wipe New, ReNu, etc.). Seems the lotions/gels are a little more user friendly and easier application wise (not to mention cheaper), but the clear liquid ones last much longer as they chemically bond with the surface. I actually went with Wipe New (cheap and readily available at Walmart) but just haven't had a chance to put it on yet.
