Yup. I have them on my lifted 91 Volvo and they’ve been good to me. But a friend of mine who wheeled somewhat seriously on them tore sidewalls like nobody’s business.

I'm not a big fan of BFG tires and have had two sets of them not work out very well. The first were the original KM M/T and the sidewalls were weak. The second set were the A/T KO2 and the treadwear was awful and there were chunks of polyester missing from the sidewall after 10,000 miles. With what you described I voted for the Cooper S/T Maxx.

I hear good things about Nitto and also the Wild Peaks by toyo; personally I am running BGF KO2 and love them...the market is wide, rubber is rubber ;)

[UOTE="SpeySquatch, post: 22120914, member: 246516"]Yokohama’s drive great on Yotas.
I’ve run them very hard through the desert in mixed terrain with even lava rock. My 17” wheels will get the MT’s next in 255/70/17
And the 16” wheels will get the AT’s in 265/75/17.

The Japanese know how to make great tires...kinda like how they make a great pickup (or SUV)

When I was younger I’d sell my tires right at half tread wear, kept me in fairly new tires about every year and a half or so for cheap :D Probably do that with these, I figure these could fetch 4-6 hundred half worn so essentially about 5-6 hundred a year to be riding on a fairly new tire.

Why's that? I have the Grabber ATXs and I like them so far. The thing I really don't like is the siping only goes down half way into the tread.

EDIT: On another note, OP, if you don't have really heavy winters in your area I would go with the KM3s, just because they'll be the best off road. If you do a lot more road driving than off road, I'd say go with the Ridge Grapplers since they'll be a little smoother and more quiet.

I like my Cooper ST MAXX but haven't put them to the test in mud. For what it's worth I was considering Ridge Grapplers because they seem to have less issues with pulling to either side. My Coopers definitely pull to the right. I think the Coopers have slightly bigger voids though and their tested puncture resistance is out of this world. I also like how they look a lot better than the Nittos. A lot less "bro".

I have these Pirelli's in a LT265/75/16 E rated tire currently on my Tacoma. Bought them 2 years ago and have no complaints. In a lot of ways I'd prefer something a bit more aggressive, but so far they have done what I need.

    pi_scorpion_atr_bw_ci2_l.jpg

I'm getting these Pirelli's for my F150 soon. I ordered a set of these last week and if they are in will get them Friday. If these had been available 2 years ago this is what I'd have put on the Tacoma. Price OTD is going to be $819 for E rated LT275/70/18's.

I didn’t add them to the pole because I’ve done lots of research on them. I think they suck and many sell just because they look “cool.” There, I said it. Lol

I bought Geolanders they were surprisingly good in a bit of rain/snow. Honestly if you are the type who wants to go offroad and get stuck in the mud then mud tires are basically it.

Grabbers are way out of date, ST Maxx tires are so last year.

Right now the best looking all terrain is the Ridge Grapplers. I love them, if I did more offroading I would buy a set for sure. ( I have cooper AT3 ) Way quieter than the ST Maxx.

KM3 is a "soft" mud terrain, will be loud but great off road. I wouldn't run them on a daily driver.

Falkens are softcore, its not as nearly aggressive as the tires you have listed. I like them, but not for your demands.

Glad you said it. We need to dispel the myth. My “fulkin” tires are quiet on the highway, but they don’t balance well or easily, they vibrate despite road force balancing multiple times, they fill with mud and snow and don’t clear themselves, they don’t dig well, and they don’t hold up to punctures well. They may be great in So Cal, in the sand at Pismo, at the mall, or even on So-Cal fire roads, but they are not a tire I’d feel comfortable with in the middle of an eastern Oregon winter with.
