    You will get paid extra when doing HVAC on the weekend, l think I paid a $50 or $100 service charge last time to have the guy come out and charge the system on a Saturday or Sunday

    People have said I won't be able to handle working as an HVAC tech if I can't handle detailing cars on weekends...

    Difference between fixing air-conditioners and detailing cars is that HVAC techs get paid by the hour whether they're on a job or driving to a job, and they probably get bonuses for particularly complicated jobs. At the detail shop, you only get paid per car and they make you do other menial stuff for free (like cleaning the shop).

    @El Duderino

    Working weekends is not what pissed off about that job. You're right; That's life...

    What pissed me off is that if there wasn't a car to detail I'm wasn't getting paid; I didn't quite grasp the concept of "flat rate" when I took the job. I believe I told you about having to clean up the shop and clear snow for no extra pay...?

    That's why I was angry! I'm willing to put up with a lot if the pay is good!

    This one was in an apartment building parking lot and I was afraid to approach it; This is how far my lens would zoom from the sidewalk...

    I have a full pension from my days with government and my grandmother was my financial advisor and planner and she killed it with my investments growing up. So at 33 years old I’m set for life.

    I was online and happened to find that the Nissan Titan will no longer be offered as a regular cab. Chevy still offers the Silverado as a regular cab, but only as a base model and without the Z71 package. Toyota no longer offers regular cab trucks, and I'm pretty sure the new Rams aren't available as RC either. Ford seems to be the only company that still offers regular cabs.

    What's the deal?

    Trucks are quickly becoming grocery getters and people haulers. Folks want them to do everything, so they get em a double cab that can haul the fam and also use it as a truck when needed

    id say it has to do with demand, but i too hate to see the single cabs go

    Several factors:

    1. Low profit compared to other truck configurations make them less desirable to make. Ford sells 800k F-150's a year and have huge commercial contracts so they still make Regular Cabs.
    2. New emissions regulations "scale" based on the size of the vehicle. The larger the vehicle, the more lenient the emissions targets it needs to meet. Midsize Regular Cabs were short enough that they would require more strict regulations. Couple that with point #1 and manufacturers would rather just delete them from the lineup. GM and Toyota decided to just sell the extended cab sans back seat for those that would normally buy an RC.
    3. The aforementioned lower demand for the body style. Trucks are no longer just a working vehicle and need to do it all. On top of that Toyota doesn't like the commerical scene in the US and only wants to market more profitable personal-use vehicles. Removing the 5-lug and Regular Cab were moves that reflect that (in addition to point number 2).

    My dad has a 2018 GMC Yukon that he bought used in November 2018 with like 8,200 miles on it. This Yukon has the rear seat Blu-Ray player. I played PS4 in the system in December 2018, but used the DVD player for the first time less than a week ago. The system works fine, but when the Yukon is shut off and restarted, the movie restarts.

    We had a 2004 Honda Odyssey, and then a 2013 Honda Pilot. Both had DVD players and neither one did this.

    Electrical issue or annoying GM quirk?
