Custom cockpit

Post some pictures of your custom/modded cockpits! I'm looking to upgrade mine and add some things like ram ball mounts, cb radio, light switches etc. Looking for ideas!

 

I'm using a couple RAM mounts for my stuff. Details mostly in these posts:

Essentially, for the A-pillar mount, it was:

• Ram Mount Motorcycle Handlebar Clamp Base with M8 Screws - but this is an M8 screw, so if you don't want to re-tap the grab handle mount, you'll need to pick up an M6 bolt, like these M6 x 55mm Thread Hex Socket Head Cap Screw. Note: I re-tapped to M8
• Then, you need a few washers or a nut for a spacer to push the ball out a bit - I'm sure you can find those .
• Then, you'll need whatever arm and "holder" will work for your device. I found that this set worked well for me for positioning, and then you'll need to figure out a holder: Ram Mount Double Socket Swivel Arm for 1-Inch Ball Bases

And for the center-dash mount, I used:

• Ram Mount RAM-B-166U-C - Suction Cup Mount with Long Double Socket Arm and Diamond Adapter, and then I made my own tablet holder out of wood.
  Note that I think a lot of folks would use a RAM-HOL-UN9U to hold the iPad instead, but I think that might mean you need a triple suction cup (RAP-B-365-224-1U) as well.

With all that, I ended up with this as my cockpit...

see now.. all these people posting clean interiors, This is a clean interior.. no clutter at all!

 

I’ll have to get an updated picture this is a few weeks ago. The gauge cluster is gone. All wiring behind dash is gone beside radio and heater control. Even the steering wheel is gone.
It’s nice and clean now...

 

oh i know how that goes lol. before my taco goes in for paint im stripping EVERYTHING out of the interior and under the hood...

 

I’m just doing it to take out the pointless junk Toyota wiring so I can build my own harnesses

 

its not junk, its just not very useful for a 4bt swap! lol

 

Good eye, I found it while playing pokemon and just keep it in the truck as a momento.
