    Looks good OP. I highly recommend something different for the hi lift. It will get dirty and dusty where it's at, and that doesn't bode well for proper operation when you need it. Which when you need it you will REALLY need it to work perfectly. Here's what I did to keep it nice and out of the way without monopolizing the bed rails: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/my-take-on-a-hi-lift-jack-mount.497315/

    Ideally it's not something you need all that often so it's okay to tuck it away pretty well. Keep a can of this handy
    $13 DuPont Non-Stick Dry-Film Lubricant Aerosol, 14 oz( bottle color may vary)
    https://www.amazon.com/DuPont-Non-S...4?keywords=teflon+spray&qid=1574980770&sr=8-4 and jack your truck up with it once a year while dousing the shaft with the spray to make sure it's ready when you need it.

    I like the idea, I do maintain my jack but I need a location that’s easily accessible in situations where I’m stuck, when I’m out overlanding or going out for a weekend my box if full of gear, food extra and all covered by my tonneau cover so it would make removing the jack lots of work and getting all my gear and food exposed to the mud. Located on my rack I easily remove it and re install it without compromising my other gear. Don’t worry I wash it when I get home and lube it up

    Snorkel is on its way, I have a yeti and an Engel and I much prefer cooking over the fire and I got a Colman stove if that isn’t possible.

    Two worlds of thought here. The first is that he's not using them for grips so much as for storage of paracord and resting his hands on longer drives. Second is that in most aggressive driving classes (including in the police academy) they teach that 9 and 3 are better than 10 and 2 for actual control. :D

    Cool build Sir. As some one who does fab work i can appreciate all the work you have invested in this. The HUD is something I've not seen before and is just flat cool. I'm much more a function over form person and have just built as I needed. I wish I coulda done more on the truck for myself but lacking some of the tooling for the home shop. I have reserved most of the fab work for our tiny camper. That's most of the joy in it for me finding something we need and making it. The planning and execution to build it and make it function as you need it to. :cheers:

    That’s right up my alley of thinking! Im in the automotive trade and work in a shop so all the tools I need are always accessible along with the space and comfort of a warm shop!

    Well that certainly must be really nice. i did autobody/paint/ welding and fab work for 30+ years. Pretty much all fleet work and never really allowed to do much for myself. I've got a couple of welders and a plasma here at home so I can get a bit done I really need to build a seperate shop and invest in a good metal brake and tubing bender but at this point in life who knows. Hell I'd probably never come in the house. So, I really enjoy reading threads like this and seeing the creativity used by others
