    2020 TRDSPORT
    I just traded in my 2007 Tacoma, which I purchased new, for a 2020 TRDSPORT. The 2007 had 195000 miles on it and Toyota replaced the frame year ago. It was a great truck. The 4.0 engine was very reliable and powerful. The new truck's V6 is OK but the transmission is mored geared for economy. It does get better gas mileage. I have a popup camper that fits in the back of the truck and weighs about 1400 lbs. When I put the camper on I have to take the tailgate off, not a problem with the old truck. The new one has a backup camera. Now finally to my question. In the Owners Manual page 127 it instructs you to put covers on the connectors after you unplug the camera, to protect them from contamination. I asked at the dealership about the covers and they had no information for me except "why would anyone want to take the tailgate off."
