I was wondering if anyone has any sort of rubbing issues in this size of tires? I have a 2017 trd sport long bed and was wanting to know was most likely gonna get Falken wildpeak at3w tires in that size.

I have a 2017 SR5 4x4 DCSB and that was the largest tire I could run on the stock 1” factory lift. Never had any rubbing issues with 265/70/17’s. Eventually, got a 2” lift to run 285/70/17’s

Here it was, no lift with 265/70/17’s

I have running on my 18 Pro with 265/70/17 KO2 on SEMA wheels with the stock mudguards. It mostly happens when I turn too hard while braking to a stop (read: aggressive multipoint turns) Nothing to report at any other times.

2019 SR5, 2WD, no lift, 17" TRD Pro/SEMA wheels, no mud flaps. 265/70/17 Faulkin Wildpeak AT3's, no rubbing at all.

Excellent tire, surprisingly quiet on the highway, I'm very pleased with them.

I've got "C" rated (although I don't think they call it "C" rated, they have their own terminology.) It's not "E" rated, I don't have a need for a tire that robust.

I’ve also got a 2017 Sport. Running SEMA wheels, Falkens, no lift. Rubbed hard on turns until I removed the front flaps. Now good to go.

Might depend on your wheel offset. My Method 701s with 0mm offset with tires that size rub a little on turns with the suspension compressed. It's not terrible though, but I will eventually heat gun the fender wall a bit to make it stop.

I have 265/70/17 Ultraterrains on Pro SEMA wheels. I removed my stock mud guards prior to installation because I figured they would rub going into my driveway. Without mud guards I didn't experience any rubbing with this wheel/tire setup.

I installed Rekgens and was able to induce very minor rubbing (barely audible) during a hard brake and turn. After installing my skid plate and bumper guard I had some rub during a hard brake and turn but it wasn't major and I probably just need to mold the mud guards to the fender well with a heat gun to remedy it or remove the Rekgens but they aren't chunking my tires. This only occurs on the driver's side of the vehicle. Adding the skid plate and bumper guard added weight so my truck probably dips more on a hard brake. I've not had any rubbing on the mud guards with hard turns pulling into my driveway so more related to braking from what I can tell. Even hard U-turns don't seem to induce any rub. Removing the Rekgens would solve the rubbing issue but it's not a common occurrence and doesn't damage the mud guard or tire.

I am putting all the pieces in place to lift my truck next year which should take care of any rubbing induced via braking. I like this current wheel/tire setup over the OEM options on the TRD OR. If I was getting tire rubbing issues on every bump or turn I would be more worried.

What wheels? Offset plays a part, not just tire size.

I'm rocking KO2 265/75/R16 no rubbing on stock Off-Road 2016 trim. The guys at Discount Tire told me that the Sport trims can't house that size without removing/modifying the wheel well. I guess the mud-flaps and air dams get in the way.

I had 265/70/17 Toyo open country AT2 for 5 years and never had any issues on stock front suspension. I just got Falken Wildpeak AT3 265/70/17 and I haven't had any issues. I simply removed the mud flaps.

This was my '16 w/ 265/17/70. NO RUBBING. Your wheel's offsets will be a determining factor as to whether or not you rub

I am not seeing that with 265/70R17 Wildpeaks. One of my first mods was ditching the air dam, so I have no idea there. If I was still using it and want to run this size, trimming it wouldn't even be a second thought.

I also shelved the stock mud flaps long ago and just installed some RallyArmor universal ones to get something that will flex a bit. No rubbing.

I have 265-75-16s on Wildpeaks with -19mm offset and VERY, VERY slight rubbing. Not enough to care to fix.

Edit: I am on a 2020 TRD Pro with additional 3/4" front-end level.

Just installed 265/70/17's on TRD Sema wheels and have a very slight rub on the raised portion of my weathertech mud flaps when turning. Not much to worry about but I plan to fix it with a small lift.

@Stocklocker where are you located at? That road looks awfully familiar.
