Camburg CTE front end. Camburg UCAs. Warn 10s winch. Cali Raised LED ditch lights, roof rack with 360 LED pods, 42in dual row LED light bar and bed stiffeners. Rigid LED light bar and fog lights, Leitner forged bed rack. Decked bed system. 17 inch Fuel Podium wheels with KM3s. Fox 2.5s. Deaver add a spring.
Hello, new to the forum but I have owned a couple Tacomas in the past and am currently planning a purchase of a 2020 Tacoma. My question is the Pro is the model I am looking at but I would plan on adding steel front and rear bumpers, steel rock sliders and overland rack with tent. My concern is with the added weight it would bring the 2.5inch lift that comes with the Pro down to stock. From what I have read you can't/shouldn't lift the suspension that comes with the Pro and you would have to rip it all out and start fresh. So, in a nutshell, should I be worried about the extra weight dragging down the Fox suspension and just get an Off Road model and lift that 3"-4" inches?

yeah that's about right. if adding real weight the Fox Pro stuff won't handle it. you'll need 650-700lb springs up front, new leaf packs in the rear. but if you like the Pro trim you can sell that stuff off for cash and keep your black trim bits, etc. either way it's a new suspension for you.

Welcome to TW! Personally I'd go with the Offroad and take the money saved over the price of the Pro and put it toward the armor and suspension setup you want.

Generally speaking, Get the OR if you plan on modding it, get the Pro if you’re satisfied with keeping it basically stock.

As much as $ will allow
So true!! My last off road I modded a ton and wouldn’t have been good for me to get the Pro because I would be taking all the upgraded parts off. I save the $ and got armor and a lift.

However, this time I’m keeping my Taco mainly stock and not as much aggressive off-roading, so I went with the Pro.

When did the Pro start coming with a 2.5 inch lift?

x2 on saving cash and going for an OR, then upgrading. Hell, you can go for an SR5 and upgrade as well. A locker can be added and all the electronic off road garbage isn't necessary at all.

I was wondering the same thing. As far as I know it has a one inch lift ... at least that’s what I ended up with after installing the Pro Fox shocks on my OR.

    A few.
When you see 2.5" Fox Shocks in the Trd Pro description its referring to the size of the shocks not the amount of lift provided. The Trd Pro has a 1" front lift over the other Tacoma trims.
