    Good afternoon everyone, I hope to be an active member of this community, and I hope to have fun here... I have found that forums are a great place to learn stuff and meet people
    Today I was given a 2006 Tacoma Prerunner access cab with 160k on the V-6, for my son who gets his driver's license next January. Friends of the family who just wanted it out of their driveway. It runs, but the transmission is really hard to put into gear (automatic), and the owner told me they have been having problems with the power steering (have had to add fluid to it frequently) with a nice whine when turning the wheel. I love to tinker and get my hands dirty, seeing as though I have about 13 months before he drives, I am in no real rush to get everything done and get it on the road. I will be lurking and picking up ideas of stuff to do and how to fix it up for him.
