I hadn't thought of that, that's a good point. But yeah I'm not usually fussing around that area of the engine bay. Looks like they come off easily enough though, keep the stock hood prop on just in case

If you're wanting hood struts and IF all things are equal with those two brands, I thought it'd be cool to support a company that supports the first gens like Spiker. He's R&D'ed a scan gauge and ultra gauge mount for first gens. So companies that do still 'innovate' for our old trucks I like to support. But no idea if one strut is superior to the other

Haha if I get another then it's all yours, it's definitely broken in alright. It's more purple than black now from the sun bleaching it. If I get another I'll probably go with the tan one instead
