Sure, get me all excited posting pics of a Silvia on a dull truck website where old men complain about brake pedal feel day in and day out, just to make lame cock jokes. Thanks teases.

Have had my truck since October 8 about 2k miles roughly 30 miles off-roading. At first I did notice some gear hunting but went away about 500 miles. Ect mode makes the response little better and shift points light higher, but all in all loving my 2020 truck enjoying the taconation.

According to Toyota, they actually did reprogram the shift mapping for 2020, due to all the complaints. Several of the YouTube reviewers I watch said they noticed a slight improvement.

Not really. It was basically only one reviewer. There is nothing official from Toyota.

I think the guys who are hoping for a “miracle cure” for the fact Toyota specializes in slightly underpowered trucks will still be disappointed.

According to a dealership? I believe OVTune said it’s exactly the same as ‘19.

The chief engineer mentions some transmission tuning on the 2019's and going into the 2020 to help with busy shift between 5th and 6th gears (TFL trucks video @ about 13:30). He also mentions pedal map changes to "improve responsiveness in terms of acceleration".

The guy includes the 2019s at the start of the video, so no specific change for 2020.

I still call bullshit based on the complaining about 2019, and some 2020s, and all years so far. There’s nothing they can do. It’s a heavy pickup, with a low torque engine, that needs to meet certain emissions targets.

    myself, I’m fine with it.

Either I have a unicorn AT or you are exaggerating.. I grew up with MT trucks and I will not go back, however I have had zero, no, none, notta issues with the AT in the Tacoma (2020). It works as smooth as my F150 10 speed AT, when I punch it it downshifts and gets going.

Maybe I am not understanding what the issue is?

    There is no issue.

It’s “group think” by former Nissan Skyline owners, who’s girlfriend threatened to leave if they didn’t get a Taco because they are “not going to be some tuner’s girl”.
