Don't have any of the Blue Sea Stuff - looked for some terminal strips to use with the wiring I'm going to put in when things settle out here. I did get the OffroadTown knock off. There is a 6 and 8 switch version, and they are quite different. I did not like the 8 version.
The 6 is plenty enough for my plans, and it is self contained fuse and relay panel - up to 40 Amp loads, each with a relay. Switch is prewired multi-cord, enough to go from engine bay easily up to the garage door opener, where I am going to stash it. And the door will close. This is about perfect for me, and is virtually complete in terms of parts, for like 1/5 the SPOD prices.
You guys that are going to have LOTS of loads, like the frig', and 9 kinds of light, the more expandable and larger component systems are probably better. More work though.
Simple needs, look into this.

I'm a electrician by trade and my OCD goes into overdrive when I see messy wires under the hood. I tell my buddy about his wiring in his 4Runner all the time. I'm surprise it hasn't caught on fire yet LOL

 

You got a link to that flashlight you have in your 12v outlet?

 

I’m not a electrician by trade but I have been around it forever and it drives me crazy to see shoty unsecured wiring. Especially in PLC cabinets.

 

I see at the hospital all the time and even in new construction with shoddy contractors always trying to cut corners

Caught a guy tryin' to tie wrap some new control lines to some BX. Asked him if he was proud of his Jack Leg work before I said rip it out, that's Not what we paid for.

 

I'd like an sPOD but don't have the money, nor the accessories to wire into the sPOD

 

Right? I'm just trying to make sure taxpayers are getting their monies worth

I like the Blue Sea and Switch Pro stuff to be honest. I just got a great deal on the sPod last year so I couldn't say no.

 

What you got wired up to your systems?

 

I still have 3 switch blanks next to my steering wheel so I'll use those for any other accessories I might buy
