BUYER BEWARE: 3rd Gen Plug-N-Play Tailgate Bolt-N-Lock & Tailgate Bolt-N-Open

I’m not sure if I will be doing anything for the Tailgate Lock but there may be something in store for some of the new products that are coming out. I’m not sure.

 

I am interested in this mod if for nothing else than the WOW factor, plus my wife thinks it is a good idea to lower that tail gate with the fob. I do have 1 question. What happens if the mechanism fails, how to you open the tail gate. Does the manual handle still work to open the tail gate? I know people have run in to problems with the pop n lock when it fails.

 

If there is a failure or use the tailgate handle it will operate like normal . It’s just a add on bracket that does not effect the handle operation.

However, to simplify, $150 is the complete full package (only KTJO 4x4 kit, not DSIM Kit) and the $186 is the add-on package (complete package with KTJO 4x4 and DSIM Kits Black Friday Special if you have KTJO 4x4 Tailgate Lock Kit and just need Tailgate Opener Package)

 

Does anyone have a link or instruction guide in installing the pop and lock tailgate mod? Seems pretty straightforward but want to make sure I do this right. Thanks in advance

Please excuse my ignorance, but I am trying to figure out what package I need. I have nothing now, what I would like is the BNL & BNO and the tailgate opener that works with the key fob(3 clicks). Not sure how the interior switch would work with a MT since the safety interlock works when the trans is in park, so I would not be interested in the switch or does the switch come in both kits.. Do I need the $224.70 kit or the $186.45 kit. Again I apologize for have a problem figuring this out. I have read all the descriptions many times and I am confused. Thanks for everyone patience.

Don’t forget to select which Color you prefer. I don’t believe you can move on before you do this, but this is the step that you would select White or Blue LED for your PUSHBUTTON Switch.

 

Does anyone knows what’s the difference between this two brackets? I’m about to buy a kit ($150) but things like this get me confused and hesitant if I’m buying the right kit or not. I don’t want to cut, drill, splice wires on my Tacoma. The kit that I would like to purchase is the one that I can utilize my doors control to open and close the tail gate and allows me to do the same with my remote control and that’s it. Any help would be appreciated!
