I have a huge respect for do it yourselfers, I am a do it yourselfer kind of guy, but I think its a good sign that if you have issues with an oil change, your not ready to work on suspension, there has to be someone around that can help this poor guy, he reminds me of my father

Sure is. There's a first time for everyone. Not used to working on a vehicle with a transmission drain plug, nor one that doesn't have a transmission fill tube. Haven't pulled that mistake since.

Impact won't fit in there. Not enough room with bed in the way. So unless I take the bed off completely, I think going and buying a nut splitter is the cheaper alternative, not to mention I don't own an Impact wrench.

Is it to early to start taking high/low bets on the out come of this mod?

If not - I want 6 months till completion. I tried to figure the math the best I could at a nut per week and then some general down time with other bs.

I don't think that would be possible because it won't be bending way down that far.
I've always been successful using this method, and I used it a lot back when I was a mechanic for 10 years.

You trust me enough to take the bed off my truck? You realize I'll attempt that via the Air-Conditioning unit and work my way back in sections.

Somehow I'll manage to take apart my entire truck around the bed thus achieving the desired effect in the longest way possible.

In other news, just bought my nut splitters today so either later this evening or tomorrow those fuckers are coming off one way or another.

That or this will be your nightly news bulletin.

I like your positive attitude & how you are going along...

We have all been there and we have all done our share of install fuck-ups...

Honestly the easiest way is to take a sawzall to the nut and get it off that way...

Just FYI, I had to cut the rear shock when I helped a buddy install an OME kit on his '02 4 runner. Took about a minute with a sawzall.

So when will there be a Modding with Krazie series? It would kind of be a Red Green meets Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor. Think about all the hours of classic truck repair DVDs you could make, Krazie. It would be cheap to make - since your a medic that would save the expense of having to higher a medic for standby.
