    Same shit, different body.

If you've owned a 3rd Gen 4R you're already ahead of the game and know of the issues that plague them IE lower ball joints, rust, etc.

Only difference here is the rear suspension; you've got everything from custom Alcan's and Deavers (the nicer leaf packs), Dakars (most popular), Allpro, '63 spring (requires more than just bolt on modification) to name a few.

The rear flexes just enough but if you want to maximize that travel, longer shocks with a rear shock relocation kit could be worth looking into. Plenty of guys have done them and there's a thread on the very subject.

    Lol

Quit trying to rush the job. I mentioned this to you a few weeks ago. One season of rain or snow isn't going to be the straw on the camel's back that'll inevitably destroy your frame.

Whatever damage is there, is already there.

Wait until the weather clears up, blast your frame in small portions, paint, and protect with FF.

In the meantime, chill in front of the fireplace, or heater, and enjoy a warm beverage.

i should check to see if the FF has done more damage to the old rubber undercoating i damaged with the blast gun, its been about 3 weeks since applied

it has been a very interesting journey on TW to see other trucks underbellys that have absolutely NO rubber undercoating to suppress road noise and rock chips under there

    No lol you don't.

Wait until the weather clears, then worry about tackling stuff. I don't mean "1 hour of clear skies" either, I'm talking when the weather is clear for a good month or so.

Sit back, watch some MASH, and enjoy the hot cocoa.

Then chill for the couple of days, or even weeks.

You make more mistakes when you rush things than when you plan shit out ahead of time and do things at a slower pace.

And once you drop off your truck at my house, I'll have all the time I need to treat the frame so it'll give me many years of care-free driving.

Would you like to fly back or take a greyhound?
