The Model S, and X are now dated as fuck which is why they're not selling as well these days.

The Cybertruck is like the Roadster and Semi a distant dream

Name the pickup trucks. And people wonder why Tesla is a disrupter.

One major thing I think the Cybertruck has accomplished, was to take 250,000 potential new car or truck buyers out of the market.

Thought of the Cybertruck when I saw this. Look for the boxy car.

During the past month, I've seen so many electric vehicles proposed for market without it being driven by a fuel crisis, that it makes me think the times really may be ready for change.

Like the automobile signaled the end of horse, buggy, and "blacksmith" profession at the beginning of the 20th century, the electric car will bring an end to the automobile parts and service business as we know it today.

Someday we will say goodbye to oil filters, mufflers, tail pipes, water pumps, spark plugs, coils and the whole gasoline/diesel engine support industry.

Agreed. I look forward to it. We may be at the tipping point of EV adoption in the US. The amount of EVs I am seeing in urban areas is dramatically higher than even two years ago.

Most likely twas horseshit that necessitated the ICE revolution...

Not drawing any analogies to the current situation.

EV's look like they will be an improvement.

    Autonomous vehicles, not so much.

Anyone remember when "right to privacy" was a thing?..lol

The VW Group (VW, Porsche, Audi) is heavily invested in electrification. The iconic VW Microbus is making a comeback in 2022 as a BEV only. Even the classic 911 will be offered in a hybrid version soon. All of their chips are on the table. Times are a changing in the automobile world...

EV's are much simpler, so many production and maintenance jobs will be disappearing, another maybe unintended "revolution".

I need to figure out how to invest in some obscure component makers that are critical to all EV manufacture.

Like investing in unheard of electrical component companies that made Flyback transformers at the beginning of color television.

Um, the SR is available, just not online. As stated above.

I'd switch to an electric taco at the same specs/price as the CT, hands down.

TBH, I bought a truck that should be lasting 10+ years. Maybe 20+. Wasn't in the market anyway, but a CT might well put me back in.

Also, we just did 2k miles in the taco. Some offroad, tons of snow. A 500mi CT would also have done it without any additional stops (assuming we stopped at chargers, which were already at several of our stops).

Oh. Glad it was Volvo. Wasn't sure. Thought it might by a Chrysler or something. Reminded me of the Dodge Aries my parents bought in the 80's. Was very bad quality.

I suspect BIG will buy a large part of them sooner than later. Could it be Apple?
