Yeah, its different... Since I am health conscious, I have tried just about everything, including acai. I took it twice a day for 4 months... I will be honest and say I saw no benefits. If you or the wife thinks that it makes you feel better, I say go for it! Downside is that it is damned expensive. If you really want to try something that has a cult following, try that Monavie stuff...

I read the Monavie is a scam. The shit she gets has apple, and other juices too.

Yea, I'm not sure if that is a scam. A lot of people around here have those stickers on their trucks.

some people say that monavie may be a scam, but my mom sold the stuff for about two years and i drank the stuff and in that time i never got sick... normally ill get sick every other month, then i stopped drinking it and about 2 months later i got sick.

may or may not be a mental thing, who knows, but from my own opinion i would say that it did make me "feel better"

monavie has like i think... 25 different fruits including acai. and its deffnitley an aquired taste

My parents bought the Mona Via stuff. The whole business side of it seems shady but as for drinking it, I'm down. They gave me 6 cases, (24 bottles). I'm on the 3rd bottle right now. I feel fine, nothing special. Hoping it will help me stay healthy through the cold/flu seasons. It taste good to me.

I've only heard good things about the actual acia berry and I'm sure it's in several different products.

Yeah Chris, I never said I believed in it per se, but there is definitely the cult following for it. Seems like the people who have tried it love it, and those who haven't are very skeptical. Anything that is prompted with the same model as Amway is sketchy business. In my naivety I tried something similar once and got burned hard. Products are pretty good quality, but these companies are the only ones to make it so prices are outrageous... If there was a competitive market, I would maybe even "try" an amino acid rich drink such as Mona Vie, just to see...

What benefits does Acai juice have? I see alot of this stuff in the Health/Vitamin section of Walmart as a supplement. Got a good book from the Library called Alternative Cures, the Most Effective Natural home Remedies for 160 Health Problems, tells you what Vitamins/Minerals to take for certain conditions pretty interesting Im trying one out for Cholesterol and High Blood Pressure to see what my results are from it. Mostly eat Vegetables,Fruits,Fiberous stuff with alot of Water and Exercise, stay away from Red Meat,Dairy,High Fat,Artificial ingredients and keep your fingers crossed, pretty interesting stuff tho.

I've tried it. Don't know that I've seen any difference. Just like pomegranate juice, it's an acquired taste.

my Aunt sells the monavie crap. I know its way expensive. she scammed my dad into buying some. he's had two cases sitting in his house for a few years now... I dont understand why people try to make money off of friends and family. Her and her kids use it and she says it helps them...who knows..I think its probably a placebo effect. Sure taking vitamins will help you stay healthier...this is just the liquid form of them. all I know is I can afford a 4-6 dollar bottle of vitamins but not so much a $30 bottle of juice

    sorry for the ramble

Honestly, I'm just repeating what I've been told. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

haha, just kidding. I just googled "benefits of acai berry" and is enough info to keep you reading for a while.

x2 on the price, and trying to sell to the fam. It's like Mary Kay the way its set up.

I have bought the twin bottles of pure Acai juice from Costco, and I really enjoy it. Tastes like a cross between berry juice and chocolate! My wife hates it... So it must be an aquired taste. I have bought it three times over the past year or two, so I am not an addict. I like other tropical fruits too, like guava, mango, papaya, mangosteen, cherimoya, passionfruit, rambutan, etc.
