I have yet to see a vehicle where those wheels look good.

Then after the long boring process of flushing out the coolant..

I upgrade to a Fumoto valve. Made sense since I change the oil about every 2 months or 3.

And also upgraded the headlights to some 5x7 LED lights.

Got to test them tonight. They work awesome. Cut off isn't ultra sharp but still very nice and never got flashed the whole drive. High beams are great too. Don't think I'll add fogs really and just get some ditch lights for the deer.

All in all. Nice to have heat again and have the DD back.

Stilll don't know what im going to do with all this coolant and shit.

Next up, fix the washer pump and swap the column over. Upgrade the squirters while Im at it.

And I'd like to install an oil filter relocation since I change the oil so much in this truck. Just need to figure out where to put it.

Tell me a bit about the heater swap out. I think that's the piece I have to change as well b/c I apparently have a coolant leak there for my AC (b/c the coolant is being blown out through the vents).

Did you swap out the entire black plastic thing, or just the metal piece that looks to be buried inside it? And, can I do it by just removing the glove box, or is it full dash like you?

Just the metal piece swaps out.

However...is coolant being blown out? Or refrigerant? because if its refrigerant for the AC which I think is what your issues is given a vauge recollection of a conversation on the last trip..you don't need to put the heater core. You need to pull the exchanger out which is super easy compared to this.

All you need to do is remove the glove box(2 screws) then the lower cross bar of the glove box(2 screws and a bolt maybe). From there you're looking right at the AC exchanger. Its the part between the Blower motor(all the way on the passenger side) and the heater(dead center).

You won't have to pull the dash at all.

Ahh, great. Yes, it is the refrigerant for the AC.

I should have looked at this on Mike's truck last week. I just put his glove box area all back together when we were plugging in the ECU and various plugs that are up in there.

ah well that's all you have to do. Its right below that. 3 screws and a bolt will hold it in. Slides right out. Assuming you've disconnected the lines in the engine bay that is haha

Will a local shop not take your coolant?

    Just Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074LT5B1M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Zane recommended them. They work nice.

yeah I know that. But there is a nice cut off really. much more so than any other light I've had. So that's good at least.

No they don't take it here. Super small town dump. Don't even take oil. The county does, but for some reason because Im a city resident I have to pay to use the county dump..

Auto parts stores won't. Gonna ask the other shop in town next to see what they do. Otherwise looks like i'll have to take it all to Billings.

they are bright. But still going to add some pods for the deer. Still makes driving a night much better. It's just nice that when Im on low beams I don't feel like im blind when passing oncoming. So that's nice ha

Just because you aren't getting flashed, does not mean you aren't irritating to oncoming motorists.

It is kind of like all of the lies and mis-info flowing out of the oval... afterwhile we just become numb to them. In the morning commute I no longer bother to flash that asshole with the blinding LEDs even tho he pisses me off. I know, shame on me for giving in without putting up more of a fight.

Nah no shame. I mean...hell..i did the "if you can't beat them, join them" haha

That said, these are in fact designed correctly, they aren't just a random LED bulb in a H4 housing. They do work as they are supposed to like a real head light. You can see the large divider in the head light. The top section is the low beams and the bottom is the high beams.

I can still tell when some jerk just slapped non shielded LED bulbs in his lights. Its terrible. But with the way the projectors are these days..they aren't any better honestly. If you're below the cut off..you're fried.
