Let's See Your Dogs!!

Went out for an xmas tree today, doggos love romping around the woods...

 

In the shower this evening and my sister knocks on the door and says “Hey, Athena has meat, did you give it to her?” (Athena had medical issues as a small pup that made her very food sensitive until about 6 months so we kept her on a grain free food up until a few months ago, we still very rarely feed her people food).

We still don’t really know where it came from but my sister said she thinks the neighbor over the fence behind us was waving while she was in the kitchen, tomorrow I’ll go talk to them and see if it was them and let them know that I appreciate the gesture and then find a polite way to tell them not to feed the dogs, especially when I don’t know them.

But Athena is enjoying sitting on the couch and watching Live PD with me.

 

Yep, that's weird. I don't want anyone feeding my dogs either. Not all people are good and my devious mind would think they are trying to hurt my dog. I wouldn't think your neighbor would do that. They were probably just trying to be nice.

Yeah, I’m not a particularly trusting person so the first thing I told my sister was to make sure they didn’t eat anymore than they had just in case the meat was tainted.

My dad met the neighbor a few months ago while we were remodeling the house and she seems to be a sweet older lady who lost her son last year, she has a dog or two of her own and we haven’t had any issues with her before so I’m not too worried about it but it won’t happen again.

 

That's good that she's a pet owner. Wouldn't think they would do any harm to your pup.
I would just explain that your dog is on a special diet and cannot deviate from it. She will understand and probably feel bad about give the treat. Good Luck

 

You’re taking it pretty well. I would be extremely upset if someone fed my dog without asking. People should know better.

Good lookin pup. There was a Mal/lab litter I was trying to pull the trigger on last week but the lady wouldn’t give me the green light. Feel like it would’ve been a great mix though :/

Not really related to our dogs, but we were finally able to donate some dog food to the local animal shelter. Something we’ve been wanting to do for a long time.

I used to have two Australian Shepherds. Fantastic dogs.

 

Dodger is a AKC “Master Hunter” German Shorthaired Pointer and is an absolutely amazing animal. He’s my new best friend and hunting buddy. I upload a bunch of hunting pix with him in my album as we try to get out 3 times a week. Adopted him at 10 years old to give him a well deserved glory run since my parents dog had ACL reconstruction and wouldn’t be hunting season. Dodger hates other dogs... loves people... it made life with his precious owner who trains bird dogs for a living near impossible. Oddly he is fine with cats... figure that out! Couldn’t be luckier
