2019 Tacoma interior map lights and dome light do not come on when the doors are opened.

I bought my Tacoma used and did not get any paperwork to help me out on this. Even with the switch in the door position the dome light and map lights do not turn on when the door is opened. The lights work when turn to the on position. What do I need to do to get the lights to come on when the door is opened? Can anybody help me out?

 

Do they go on when the passenger door is opened ? If it works with one door and not the other then I would check the door switch.

 

I the dome switch in the middle position?

 

Having bought the truck used would the issue still be covered under warranty through a dealership? The lights do not come on when the passenger door is opened either.

 

It's a 3 year 36k bumper to bumper. You're good unless you have over 36 k

 

Okay I will give going to the dealer a try.

Could be someone turned off the turn on the lights when door opened setting using techstream or carista

 

Id say check the settings in the gauges. Same thing to me after i bought mine i notice that interior lights is not turning on even in on position then i found "Lights" option in the settings in the gauges and it works.
