    I've had that exact one in my list on Amazon for quite a while. But I've understood from some that it can be difficult to program etc... since I know exactly -not one single damn thing- about programming one of these things, I haven't pulled the trigger.

    I'm reading that programming and info beyond just the manual is not that difficult to do and find with Icom.

    Icom is a good brand, easier to program, and dual channel is great. What I like is having one channel for the large group and then you can chat on a second channel with a buddy and not broadcast to everyone in the convoy.

    My plan is mount main unit under driver seat and face plate with Ram Mount or something similar.

    Can't help ya with locations cause best gen trucks aren't the same as 2nd gen trucks :p
