Changed my rear diff fluid Wednesday but this head cold prevented me from tackling the front diff and t-case. I just didn't have the gas in me to drop all the armor up front to get to the diff. I also have to change the oil, which I plan on doing at the same time as the diff. Depending on the weather this afternoon, I might finish my snorkel install and actually drill holes in my A-pillar for the mounting hardware. That super sticky 3M foam tape has done me well in the past but now I'm thinking that it's about time to take the leap. Got some RTV standing by to seal the holes as long as this potential rain stays at bay. We'll see.

I would not drill into the a-pillar. Just my opinion. That is pretty much un-reversible once you commit.

3M VHT double sided tape will hold it plenty strong. I think it’s rated for 90+lb of tensile strength.

Yeah, I'm with you on that one. I've had to replace that 3M tape twice due to vibrations separating it from the A-pillar. It'll hold for a bit over a year before it separates then the snorkel starts a slight wobble when going over bumps. With proper application of sealant on both the inside and the outside of the a-pillar, I should be good to go. Wet dip the screw, and bead the back end from inside the vehicle should keep the water intrusion down to 0. It's a project that I've been pushing off for a few years now since I didn't want to puncture my 'do not pass go, do not collect 200$' A-pillar. #nerves

I appreciates the brevity of each scene.

Dialog isn't dragged out. Straight to the action.

Allows each episode to cover a movies worth in 40 minutes or less.

Yeah, that stinks. Doesn't look like the previous owner had the measure twice cut once mentality nor did they take the precautions to protect the paint with a bushing or spacer.

Wait until you have to keep tightening down the screws in the a-pillar multiple times per year because they vibrate loose. If you’re going to go through the trouble of applying sealant on the inside of the pillar, use a bolt and nyloc nut. Also, I’ve never had water intrusion issues after a couple, or few, years...but I do understand wanting to seal it.

I drilled my A-pillar. Used 3M tape between snorkel bracket and A-pillar, and sealed it. Instead of screws I used rivets. It holds very well.

Noticed a considerable lean to the drivers side looking at the ass end of my truck. Measured and found about 1" difference. Layed the cardboard down on the driveway and noticed the Dakar HD pack I've had for a few years looks pretty flat.

Maybe install airbags in the short term while I save up for a suspension upgrade all around??

@JimboAnz you consistently ran with a lot of weight in the back. Ever run in to this?

Rear full long travel including upper and lower rear control arms. 37s Mickey Thompson Baja boss MT,
Just like any leaf pack they wear out especially when you wheel with them and have weight on them . I would call Dakar and see if or any warranty is on them . Hell they might be able to give you a discount towards another pack

My first aftermarket leafs were allpoo expo, 3rd owner of that set. they were OK, but would not hold the weight. Ended up with the blackout Joe HD pack, they were nice, held the weight no problem but I did not run them long enough to get a good long term review, ended up parting ways with truck.........
