The driver's side seal for the front diff/cv axle is part number 90311-47027. Not sure on the other seals you're talking about..

Random question, about the ecgs removal tool itself. Are these hardened materials, that could be reused after? I don't want to say I'm cheap, but it looks like basic stuff I have around the shop. Would save me some money.

Thanks, I'll do ahead and pick up the tool as well then. The price associated with it just seemed a little steep to me. But better to be safe than sorry. Just didn't want a single use tool for that price.

That would be awesome if you could shoot me the measurements. Thank you
I'm willing to give it a shot making one. I have to wait until my next paycheck before ordering the stuff anyway, this will give me a fun project to work on in the mean time. Plenty of steel for me to mess around with in the shop. I've got several pieces of 4140 too small to do anything with. This looks like a good application for it.

I had seen a video of an installer having to grind the extractor nut as well. Sort of a bummer you'd have to do that, although not a huge deal. You still kind of expect it to just work out the box. Thought they would have updated it by now. The part clearly looks machined, so I can't imagine a slight adjustment in geometry being that much work. On the other hand, they could have had a crap ton of them done at once, and just clearing out the old stock?

There could also be variations in the bearing itself, being that it's worn.

So when putting the new bushing in, how do you know when it is in the correct depth?

Hard to tell on video I guess. Looks like it is countersunk.

I was thinking the same, possibly from the edges being beveled? My eyes have tricked me many times due to this.

I bought the removal tool if anyone in Maine or NH wants it. I didn't end up doing it, the local Toyota dealership did it for me after going around and around.

First they replaced my front diff under warranty which didn't solve the problem. I found the solution on here and they admitted they have heard of it. Glad it's fixed though!

Sorry, it’s on loan. How/why do you plan on doing it Wednesday without the tool?

I have all the tools to perform this mod. If someone needs to borrow them, let me know.

My location is in Santa Barbara County...

I am lifted. They tried to tell me it was because of the lift. I showed them the documents of when it was lifted which was only a week prior. They did keep mentioning the lift but replaced the diff anyway. Had I found this ECGS bushing earlier I would have had a little more ammo going into the dealership.

Hey! Do you still have the tools? I’m about to lift my truck and was thinking of buying the ECGS bushing and doing it as well! I’m in Ventura!

Why do people make such a science project out of this? Put a bigass screwdriver into the recess of the shaft and pound it out.

Things. Stuff. Lots of bad decisions.
    Mostly Zip-Ties
You can also use the tool that comes with the bottle jack. The flat end of the prybar works perfect.
    A chisel works very well.

If you have an old CV, use the cup and shaft to evenly drive the bushing in.
