I am surprised they didn’t put Turtle Wax name on it. Turtle wax hard shell is the first wax I can remember using. Hard as hell to remove by hand.

I wondered about this. It’s a solid/powerful brand name. Anyone that’s NOT a detailing enthusiast... it’s the first brand that comes to mind when you ask them. It’s like the Coca-cola/mcDonalds of detailing products.

But they’ve also become known as the “Walmart” of the detailing world within the detailing community- under performing products.

They’ve definitely got some posturing to do, but hope isn’t lost. I think they could rival Meguiars/Mother’s again (and maybe financially they already do and we’re just unaware/willfully blind).

What about tire cuffs on the wheel? When I got my tires and wheels from the dealership, there were a few rubber scuffs on the wheel and I thought they would come off when I clean them, but it has not yet. It is not scratched metal, just scuff marks. I was afraid to put anything on them and discolor the wheel itself.

I did the wheel polish today when I rotated my tires. I used the Turtle Wax Seal and Shine. I think it did a good job.

I second this. I used CQuartz Dlux. A bottle is only $40 and you could probably do the wheels four times or more. All I do is wash mine now and they have that rich, dark black look. Been coated about 18-20 months, and originally did two coats.

Just put a set of these on the wife's 4Runner after I coated them with Dlux. Wheels look phenomenal. Couldn't be more impressed.

Glad to hear it man! You'll notice that they are much easier to clean and dont end up looking chalky over time with caked on brake dust.
