oh I’m just letting ya know. You have to input the special codes to get it to read the tranny temps and stuff. It’s nice to have a fixed unit and not always use the phone as @Joe23 and @Snail81

Just clicked on it. I have seen many people using them and most were happy with it.
I'm guessing it's just a matter of setting it up correctly.

(might need a hand with that)

Love my Scangauge2 for instant and average fuel readouts. Had it for 5-years and no complaints. Koodos to me picking the correct truck and not having to worry about melting an auto trans.

*edit. Once my scangauge read “HOT” and nothing else until it cooled down. To justify, parked facing the sun in +45 degrees with humidity, windows closed. Only ever happened that one time.
The suction cup mount Is great between -10/+30 deg. So now it sits in the garage, while one zip tie replaced its inferior ass!

Super easy. Can give you the code in Celsius if you want. Can find the Fahrenheit on here pretty easy

@JBU Have you gone to Toyota to enquire about the TSB on leaf springs? They may replace for free!
I had mine replaced last year (originally broke in 2012 and I bought aftermarket OME Dakars, which had broken as well).
Toyota installed new factory leafs and paid me $800...

I will probably buy another set of OME Dakars and sell the factory leafs…

Toyota discovered the broken leafs when I was in for maintenance. They never mentioned anything about a recall. Is that what TSB is? I also called them a couple days ago about any open recalls. What is TSB?

Dealers tend to have amnesia when it comes to these things. I've had to tell them a few times...
They replaced my blower motor 3 times before I had to tell them about the TSB... Blower motor has been good ever since with the TSB part.

A TSB is a Toyota Service Bulletin. They put those out for things like blower motors, leaf springs, frames, rear bumpers, etc... Things that weren't designed well and fail...

    Technical service bulletin

Known issues that can arise and be addressed with a known fix.
Recall is different as it's often safety related and applies to most vehicles.
Recalls they'll also usually notify you when it applies to you vs TSB they almost seem to hide from people.

Hey dood, kept wanting to ask you and kept forgetting...does Toyota have the equivalent of GM RPO codes? Inventory of what the vehicle came from the factory with. Asked a Toyota sales guy once and he looked at me like I had 6 heads. My IROC has it under the centre console lid and my old sierra it was inside the glove box drawer.

Is there an online resource to look that up instead of relying on my dealership to look it up?

Hehe, you're in that place now! Someone will chime in. Or you could take a look see in the non normie threads. Personally, I'd just take my chances here lol

Doesn't the NTSB site have a registry of these things.
