I just like to rip around and ride smooth. The LT is about perfect for that.

I was planning to keep things IFS buuuuuut....
Changing CVs isn't a huge deal unless it's a case like this.

It must have been a fluke too, I wasn't getting on it or anything. Was locked and climbing up a slick rock face 1st gear 4 low and just heard it pop

I compared tranny faces side by side and they didn't look too close.

Supposedly (I have not tried.) they fit pretty close. Few bolts not there and threading one or 2 holes on the block already. The 3vz-fe was a fwd use engine. Being the 5vz is based off that I’d guess it’s possible.

    Don’t think so.

    Otherwise I’d have them.

Pulling the diff tube with out pulling the diff is a lot easier. Takes about 30 minutes if your not fighting rust and have the proper tools.

It'd been in there for all of 3 weeks so I don't expect too much rust

Pulling the whole diff is a PITA because I have to lift the motor to get enough clearance for the diff the come out

This 3rz bell housing adaptor (Marilin) was the best straight on shot I could find on the w59.

    Just get a 2nd gen

    https://www.rcvperformance.com/ultimate-ifs-cv-axle-set-for-toyota-tundra-07-sequoia-08-13.html

Easiest way I've found to do it, and I've pulled the front a lot, is to remove both mounting arms. With them gone you can rotate the diff more and it comes out fairly easy. IDK WTF Toyota was thinking with the rear diff mounting bolt. Such a stupid design.

Considering I can’t find good info on the 5vz swaps I don’t know how they get them to fit. There’s no mention of adapter plates, just removal of dowel pins on the e153 transmission.

Also with fwd the engines are tilted back. Starter location on the w59 looks to be in the right spot.

Oh I was talking fwd engines into the rwd trucks. Which is where the 5vz swap for mr2s comes in. The 3vz to 5vz swap is a simple one
