Vermont State Parks has primitive camping guidelines and places you can camp. Here is a document that explains it. There are some options for you in the Northeast section which is close to Greensboro. There is also a place in Newark that charges $10 for a primitive site but that's a haul close to Kingdom Brewing and Kingdom Trails.

Thank you! This is all great.

Also Kingdom Trails looks amazing. Looks to be about 45 mins from HF. We’re bringing bikes and I’d love to get some trail time in. Would you recommend?

OMG they are the BEST trails. Highly recommend.
That campsite in Newark on Center Pond Rd - the Instagram link - wooly buggah Barn - the owners are huge Mtn bikers and support many of the gravel races. That's why they made that spot next to their home. It's a nice site I've seen it. I live close to it. EAST Burke is the Hub. In the Burlington area, you have Saxon Hill in Essex, Colchester Town Trails by Costco, Huntington Town Forest trails. I can't remember the clubs over there only areas. I lived in Burlington a long time, just recently moved to NEK after spending all my free time up here. Your trip is spot on for places to Go. If you have any trouble, post up in here & we can help you out. Enjoy!

Also here is my redneck heated mirrors & garage doors! Waiting for Overhead door & ice storm.

I follow the single chair blog, a very highly respected weather forecaster in the Mad River Valley. Ie Mad River Glen/Sugarbush
    His predictions are 8-16.
    http://madriverglenweather.blogspot.com/2019/11/more-finely-tuned-details-for-december.html?m=1

I am no longer in that area for I live in the Northeast Kingdom but have interest and frequently cross over the Greenies in Lowell. I've seen some pics of Sterling Pond and the summit in the last few days and it looks white. I'm sure someone has blazed that path to the top will be curious if the West face gets any shadowing effect. Will have to wait and see. Fingers crossed we get dump on at elevation.

Thanks for the info! I don't have crampons, but i will be bringing my micro-spikes. And we will play it by ear i guess and possibly rent snowshoes if there is fresh powder

Which trail? I hiked it in mid November a few years ago on the Long Trail from 108.
