I had the same Fing thing happen to me, you are not alone on this one.

Here is what I would do since its what I wound up doing.

Pull the blue shock cover down hard to get to the shaft. Bust out a grinder or dremmel and give yourself two flat notches opposite each other which are big enough for your biggest wrench to grab.

If you smoked the top the of the shocks then they are already basically useless, plus a new set in BST is less than $50.

Edit- since you are $50 in the hole might as well skip on the nut buster anyway. If you ever need one again just ask your wife, she will have practice after she sees this.

I did try stabbing the shock mount with the needle nose vice grips.

    Didn't work.

Disappointed at lack of damage caused.

Went inside to cry like a woman.

Of course I do. I generally over stock it cause fuck it, I'm not going to restock it after using one IV cathlon.

Haven't had a chance yet. Currently making dinner, and before any of your ass nuggets start going off about that, I'll have you know I'm a goddamn king in the kitchen.

I managed to convince the wife that the new wheels I bought, were purchased years ago, I don't think I could do the same with the suspension cause that'd be a little too obvious. And it's starting to get dark out.

We need to have a training class for you.

I also think that there may be a place for you in the sit com I am developing around Chris. If this works out, i can certainly see a spinoff in the future.

This is why I have 2 electric grinders, air cut-off grinder, dremel tool, AND a sawzall! Sometimes it's just easier to cut the bitch off and move on! lol Especially living anywhere there's snow and road salt. Rust is a fucking bitch.

I live in Canada. Snow and road salt are the rule of thumb. We have 2 months of snow free weather. We also have about 4-5 hours of sunlight with which to perform repairs to our igloos and dog sleds. I own a dremel but me thinks it would take the better part of a walrus's poop to grind half way through that fucker.
