265/75r16 BFG KO2 on stock height quicksand. I think they look and perform great!

Looks awesome. So no rubbing with these? I think this is what I’m going to do with white letters. Love the look.

No rubbing yet! I just got them last night (after endless TW scrolling and several changes of mind) so I don't know about off-roading yet.

yo - insane question that i'm sure has been answered 35 times in other threads but i'm a bit drunk and looking for answers! i just bought a 2017 AC 2.7 and it has 245/75/16s on it. The tires seem... small. What is the best size tire I can put on for offroading/trail driving etc without lifting etc. I'm seeing a lot of info on 265/75/16? But i dont want 'pizza cutters' as they say. Help!

265/75-16 aren't pizza cutters. They are fatter than your current tires by 20 mm and a little over an inch taller. That would be a good size to go with for the 2.7. Some people on stock suspension run 255/85 which are a 33 inch tire and not quite as wide as a 265 but still wider then your stock 245. However they are heavy tires and you would probably notice it with the 2.7.

Unfortunately I now have proof of the meager side walls for the Goodyear Ultra Terrains. Still happy with my choice overall, I love these tires. As you can see the puncture got between my side lugs. Luckily I had the guarantee so I just threw on my stock spare and got a brand new UT from discount tire

i'm curious, when running 265/75/r16s, how much clearance do you all have between the back of the front tire and the inner fender well at full lock?

Once again I think these plasti dipped OR rims look awesome. These tire manufacturers need to give us more c load sizes for 16’s

I agree, they look great. I even like them when they are not plasti-dipped. My issue with them is that the offset and back spacing is all off. At +25 they sit 1.25” inside the fender well.

The Tacoma TRD Pro is half that offset giving a much better look, and perhaps arguably performance (hence the “Pro” model) and the designers and engineers knew that. But they had to lift the truck slightly to fit those wheels.

IMHO the perfect back space is 0 offset, but that requires lifting the truck and changing UCAs or redesigning the fender well. TRD Off-Road wheels look awesome with 1.25” spacers, but I just don’t feel comfortable running spacers on any kind of performance vehicle.

Here’s an angle not many people show you... look how the fender lines up with the tire...

When I put 265/75/16 on, I had to remove the mini flaps in front of the front wheels. They rubbed when I turned.

I'm not even sure what their purpose is, but on my '15 there were small flaps about the size of a wallet forward of the front wheels. They had to go.
