Hello to all! New member here. Bought me 2019 white TRD sport DoubleCab LB in April. Loved the truck from the firat day. Took a little getting used to the way the Taco shifted compared to my 2012 Chevy 2500HD but that was a much larger vehicle... with much larger bills. Anyway about 4 months after I bought the truck, while on vacation and 2 days after its first oil change, I had a 20 year old kid rear end me full speed while sitting at a red light. After fighting with insurance we ended up out about a grand, our vacation had a bit of a damper put on it and my new truck had about 7000 worth of damage done to it. Aside from the obvious rear end damage, the cab also shifted on the frame a bit which created a creeking sound when riding over dips in the road, which puzzled the collision centre enough that they had to send it to their larger facility. Long story short I got screwed.. to put it nicely. Fast forward another 3 months and here we are. The truck seems to be working fine but sometines I wonder if I am feeling a vibration while braking. I am just not sure if there is actually an issue or am I just looking for problems. The vibration doesn't always happen.. and I only notice it sometimes while braking on the highway. It doesnt do it all the time and I cant really reproduce the vibrating on demand so I cant really take it back unkess yhe issue is apparent. I am thinking maybe its just rough spots on the highway combined with hard breaking. I bought a new Toyota to have some peace of mind in regards to reliability and this kid, waving to his friend instead of looking where he was going, took that away. Maybe not but now I just worry. Aside from this the truuck has been a dream and the longer I have it the more I am enjoying it. We had our first real snow fall here last night sooooo....

I'd keep fighting the Insurance company! I refused my first quote from my Insurance company when my CRV was written off from a red light runner. They offered me a higher $ amount, and I took the money and ran!

Then, I asked if I could get my personal belongings from it, while it sat at the body shop. They said yes, and I literally stripped it. I removed my after market stereo system/Sub, side sports bars, winter tires/rims, (threw on some shitty bald tires/rims). Even removed my fairly new Battery. Sold all that privately for another $900.

The way I see it, it was was mine to take.
