yeah you don't need to worry about overheating your manual transmission. It's always better to hold it in higher RPMs than to lug the engine in lower RPMs. Dont be afraid of high revs, as long as you aren't constantly redlining it anyway

Lol... I think I'd buy a powered subwoofer with built in amp before I'd consider something looking like that.

There's a redline for a reason, though I'm sure they didn't design the redline to be right at the 'break it' point. For my own peace of mind I wouldn't constantly hit the rev limiter though, but you do you boo

I love Google's call screening function... Any number I don't recognize I send straight to it. This one is a bit WTF though and no, no person named Tonya here or that I know.

perfect, thank you I appreciate it again! Yes I've only passed 5k rpms into the redline a handful of times so far off a red light, I'm not too crazy

3.5k is my sweet spot for shifting. With the supercharger if I get into too much boost under <2500 RPMs the engine doesn't like it very much, so shifting at around 3500 keeps me above that usually. I've climbed some steep freeway grades with my truck loaded down in 4th gear going 75mph which gets the revs pretty high, but it's far better than putting into 5th and lugging it. Does suck down the gas though lol

yeah that's what I mean, keeping it in the higher rpm range. At 2500 or less is where you don't want to be giving it all the boost. At least my truck doesn't take kindly to it

Some guys in the supercharger thread talk about getting a surge of power at 4k and above, but I'm afraid I'd disintegrate my stock clutch if I pushed it in at 5k lol.

oh boy. Not only did said roommate proceed to drag the axle down the gravel driveway and into the street (he didn't clean up the gravel), he's telling me he got a quote for $3700 because he tore a transmission fluid line and kept driving it til it burned up

The true test of a landlord is when he is presented with the Christmas time eviction haha.

I would have no issue evicting somebody on Christmas eve that went against contract/was late on payment. Business is business.

Some people are just too dumb to be allowed to own a vehicle. Reminds me of that guy I worked with that drove his engine until it seized cause he thought his oil pressure light was a maintenance light.

Sounds like the roommate ignored any and all warnings that would have made any one of us stop and get the truck fixed or call for a tow.
