Icon rxt or Deaver U402 leaf springs

Ill eventually go up to 14" shocks with HH, so if that's the case I guess ill be good lol.

I thought one of these packs was slightly longer though? allowing for more droop?

 

I believe that’s how it works too, probably from a mid travel standpoint all leafs give similar droop. The only ways I know to achieve more is different hangers and longer shocks with ext. brake lines. But I may be wrong

 

yeah I was gonna do the 63 swap but at some point realized it was kind of overkill for me. I guess ill keep my Dakar's for now.

 

Shock relocation towers is the only way I know of to increase travel to 14” or so unless you get a leaf pack that goes under the axle.

Edit: from what I’ve read the 63 swap rides great and it’s a longer spring!! I don’t know how it effects travel. Probably increases it by a bit

 

Speaking of which, has one any installed RXT leaf springs in conjunctions with 12" travel shocks, shock relocation kit, and measured the actual drop? Hoping someone can chime in as this is the route I want to go. Thanks

 

Good question. I’ve entertained the idea of doing it. Can’t justify the expense.. yet..

 

I have them. Ill try to measure droop again this weekend when change out my LCA's this weekend

Anyone has used the ICON rxt with extended shackles ?

 

Anyone ride with the stage 1 without much weight if it's too stiff?

 

I usually have less than 100lbs in the back and am on option 1. I would call the ride anything but stiff, it's more what I would call plush for a truck. I mean, it's still a truck, not a Caddy. Just how I want it

You still happy with them? I am undecided between the RXT or a Deaver leaf pack. I just don't feel like waiting 6-8 weeks for Deaver to do a custom leaf pack.

 

The performance is excellent. I have a complete Icon system so the excellent handling is somewhat a factor of the coil-overs, but the rear is stable, responsive and durable. I set mine at medium (2 of 3) as I only carry 245 lbs of overall dead weight, much of it centered of course, so I find the sweet spot is when I add about 100 lbs more in cargo. Regardless that’s really splitting hairs as I can take speed bumps at 50 and washer board at 75.
I’m not sure what you mean by “looks” as it’s pretty hard to see any of it without climbing under.

 

Sorry for the confusion. Looks as in if by any chance you had rake and didn't like how they settled, maybe they settled too much and you are sagging in the back, etc. I have new 6112s in the front and 5160s in the rear installed last week. My factory oem leafs are trash and dont do my suspension any justice. I wanted to go with Deaver, but they just quoted me 6-8 weeks for completion of my leaf packs and that's just too long. Wondering if these Icon RXT would be a good out of the box option.

 

Ahh! I wanted to preserve the factory rake...I’m not much for leveling and have no interest in going Bro. I don’t believe I’ve seen any setting in 25k miles. This was another reason I chose setup option 2, as it was 1/4 inch higher than where I set the front to keep the rake even with some settle. For longevity I could reset them to option 3 (more lift) as they approach end of life I suppose as it is all in how you stack the leaves.

how much lift did it give you after settling? I realize you have a 3rd gen and I have a 2nd gen so whatever lift It provides you have will be less than what it will give me.
