Looking for a good rectangular tube to make a rear bumper with - got some welded 2x3 3/16 wall, but it cuts like butter with my grinder. I couldn't find cold rolled in that size even online?

Is the hot rolled welded tube no good for putting in my truck - I can do something else with it.

That was with a good bump-stop in pace, both with superbumps and durobumps.

Hot rolled, welded tube is fine for bumpers and sliders. It'll dent if you bash it hard enough, but thats what it's for.

also the DR thread for updates on his condition. im just relaying what ive heard.

    https://www.dezertrangers.com/threads/tt-motorsports-tommy-trego-accident.239132/

Info so far was he was in his tacoma on i10 and rolled 5 times, he was ejected and suffers from a fractured skull, collapsed lung, multiple broken bones and a possible broken pelvis. His wife had bumps and scratches but his cage did what it was intended. Hes currently in a medically induced coma.

He went into surgery last night to remove part of his skull to release pressure but was told it went good an no issues. Still in a critical state.

Not sure yet on a go fund me yet but if i hear of anything ill post it up here for anyone who wants to help him and his wife.

Any support helps him and his family so he can hopefully have a smooth and full recovery.

these are the most common type, can hit at any speed, good floaters.

these on the other hand are a little more technical, hard hits, require different valving, much more risky.

then theres the mix, still save at anyspeed but some are more drastic than others.

Usually the teachers start to scream, but occasionally a few drained looking ones seem relieved.

you should run a 550 or 600 pound spring rate...the spring rate should be on the coil.

    Not following the question.

Regular Kings, I'm assuming not vehicle specific, will not come in an extended travel.

Bypass shock question. Assume a king triple with 2 compression tubes.

Do both of the compression bypass tubes have the same check valve and springs or are they different?

For example lets say I back off or close both of the bypass tube compression adjusters all the way. Do both of those zones now provide the same amount of damping? Or are the zones still different because the valves/springs in the bypass tubes are different between the two?

    Almost everything
Most of the time they have different amount of holes on the check valves but not always. Spring wise wouldn’t make a difference other then how fast it reacts. But to answer your other question if they were the same check valves then yes they would both do the same amount in the different zones. But you shouldn’t ever have them like that on a properly tuned shock because you’re not using the benefit of a bypass.

Thanks, they are not actually setup like that, just trying to understand exactly how it works.
