    Like the title says... started building my own sliders today. I decided to go with 2" square 1/8" wall for durability and ease of making (i dont have a pipe bender)

    I will post pics momentarily. they are coming out pretty good if i do say so myself...

    im so torn about 3 or 4 supports... i only have maybe 4' of frame... 1 support per foot seems excessive...

    anyone have any suggestions?

    Those are sweet! I think 3 supports with scab plates and gussets should be plenty.

    weld...

    not the prettiest weld but im using flux core wire. kinda splattery/ dirty looking... hopefully ive got good penetration, if you look at the "heat ring" i think ive got good depth...i hope :eek:

    im no pro welder...self taught actually, but due to engineering edumacation i know what to do... had to figure out how to do it on my own...

    You should really look into getting a bottle of gas for that welder. The difference is really amazing, even a caveman can lay a perfect bead with gas.
