Sent my Taco in to dealer on Saturday to have them Flush the trans fluid and add a new filter. Also had them program a new key and fob as mine only came with 1 when i purchased her.

I did the front and rear diff today and also the transfer case at work!

Now she moves nicely with new, clean fluids!

The search function took a nose dive with the latest forum update (or at least the last major facelift).

Pro tip: in your Google search, add "site:Tacomaworld.com" to whatever you search. It will only wield results from this site.

I just took the center caps off. I kind of like the way it looks without them. Plus, way easier to get the socket on the nuts.

Sorry - SPACER LIFT, BODY LIFT, doesn’t matter. Do it with coils and springs.

    More than I can afford
Wife ordered personalized plates for the truck along with a witty plate frame.
    Problems:
The aftermarket backup camera would cover the top of said witty plate frame.
Witty plate frame also only has provisions to be screwed on from the top, aftermarket flip up plate holder on bumper only has screw holes on the bottom.
Solution: Over-engineer and fabricate a plate mount:
    IMG_3377.jpg

    Step one: Make template

    IMG_3376.jpg

Step two: Cut out and test template

    IMG_3380.jpg

Step three: Transfer markings to random piece of aluminum that I have a stack of
    IMG_3382.jpg

Step four: Get so busy cutting and fitting that you forget to take any more pictures. Process involved cutting, grinding, mocking up, grinding some more and finally a couple of pop rivets to secure aluminum panel to existing license plate mount.

Result: Plate and mount fits, camera fits and works, camera barely clears the tailgate when down. Wife is happy that she can see her witty license plate frame.
Eventually I will paint said bracket and tap it or put some nutserts in it to replace the zip ties holding the camera on.

    IMG_3394.jpg

    Also:
These showed up just in time for our day trip.
    IMG_3409.jpg

Put them on the roof (now I am officially one of the cool kids with stuff on my roof rack), loaded up the truck and headed up in search of white stuff.

Adventure Dog didn't quite know what to make of the cold white stuff, 10 years old and she had never seen snow before.
    IMG_3482.jpg

And started getting in the holiday spirit.

Got my QuikFix spacers in, just wanted to give props. The seat position is actually much more natural after install. Better line of site and i just got stuck on I-10 for 4 hours, lol! Usually my knees would be killing me after that, but not near as bad as usual.

    A+
