    Making up for last night’s abysmal selection. I picked up a 4 pack of Big Timber Porter while in WV. An excellent example of the style. Slightly roasty with a smooth finish and a deep amber hue when held up to the light. Even better is that the recipe is up on American Homebrewer’s Association website. I’ll be brewing a batch of this for sure.

    I was born and raised in West By God. Unfortunately, I didn’t appreciate the efforts of their craft breweries before I moved away a few years ago. What I’ve had from Big Timber has been quite good. I’ve also got a 6er of Devil Anse IPA from Greenbrier Valley chilling in the fridge.

    I doubt I’ll ever get to try them. When I go to Huntington I’m pretty much limited to The Peddler, Bad Shepherd out of Charleston and whatever I can find at Kroger. Bad Shepherd puts out good stuff but I can only find it on tap.
