If that's aimed at me since you quoted me, I can only assume that anyone who has their rear drums off and wants to get rid of brake shoe dust is also smart enough to not breathe that shit in. Some things are so obvious they don't need saying, just saying...

 

Any brake that has the ability to lock up your wheels also has the ability to stop you just as fast as another, anti-lock aside. Drums are plenty powerful in that regard. Where they are not as good as discs are in their fading characteristics under repeated heavy back to back stops. Yeah. They will fade before disc brakes under those same heavy use conditions, but under almost every use that most Tacoma users are going to encounter you'll likely never see a difference. It also means not having to redesign the parking/emergency brake situation because of the discs.

The general consensus among people I’ve talked to (Americans and foreigners alike) is that Americans (especially white guys) are lazy when it comes to finding a job and working.

I am willing to work Saturdays and Sundays, but only if the price is
right.

Working 9 hours every Saturday at a detail shop, at flat rate? Nope! My flat rate pay was supposed to be the equivalent of ten bucks an hour, but I often ended up making less than $90 for the whole day! All of my younger coworkers could detail circles around me, and only one was considerably worse than me. He only averaged one car a day, while I did three to seven depending on how many hours I worked.

At Puck, if I worked a nine hour day, I’d get a genuine ten bucks an hour to
start, plus my pick of anything the on the menu for free as dinner. On really busy nights, I’d get a cut of the bartenders’ tips. If I came in early on Saturdays and Sundays, this one bartender Edna always bought me something from the nearby Starbucks.

Let’s also not forget that I always got into shows without paying the cover charge. There were lots of benefits to working at Puck!

All three stooges ended up on Adolf Hitler’s personal “death list” in 1940 for daring to make fun of the Nazi dictator in one of their shorts (You Nazty Spy). Also, some people probably still don’t know that all three stooges were Jewish!

So we’ve got three of the greatest comedians of all time, who happen to be Jewish, making fun of Hitler...

Doesn’t get much better than that!
