Yeah definitely, its long (3.5 hrs) but really good.

 

I don't think the Scangauge shows the auto trans temps on Tacomas normally, you have to program it a certain way to show the temps. I've seen some threads on here about how to do it

 

It doesn't work on old Tacomas. Basically only 2000 and newer. Not sure on the 4Runners. Especially the fancy limited ones with VSC and all that bullshit. I just went with an old-fashioned gauge. Kind of hard to fuck that up

For some reason any check engine light breaks the VSC. My friend has a 2002 limited 4Runner and for the longest time we couldn't figure out how all those systems intertwined. If the VSC doesn't see the all-clear from everything else it throws its own damn code. It's an endless cycle of code throwing and things not working

 

After staring at how yours is set up helping a friend last weekend it's not terribly easy to add another one. On the big a442f the hot transmission line output has a big elbow with two bosses on it one is already tapped for the stock sender and so all I did was take it off and tap the other boss for my sender.

Probably. Although I'd try to get it somewhere close to the transmission in the Hardline. There was a fitting for this if I can find it

 

Probably not, but you have solid mounting with compression fittings on Hardline and then you only have to run like one foot of wire into the cab
