Hey Connecticut, our backs hurt

Over 30 indoor league that I got suckered into playing in starts tonight, at 9... weather doesn't seem bad, and certainly not as bad as they made it out to seem during the day today, so... game is on.

OH BOY.

 

Does anybody here have a tire shop that they are partial to? My lady is in the market for tires for the Wrangler. Thanks!

 

I use a Firestone by me here in Brookfield, on Federal road. So far so good.

 

Well, I've used Tires plus wheels in Waterbury on South Main St. Cheapest around but they are a bit rough around the edges. I wouldn't send her alone there, though. The other place I've had good luck with is Joe's Tire Shop near colonial plaza also in Waterbury. Worst place I've ever bought tires was TownFair. Poor service and they ran the lug nuts down on a car so tight I couldn't break them loose jumping on the wrench.

 

It is rough out there fellas.

Don't know why the hell they didn't cancel the game. Took twice as long to get there, and triple as long to get home.

 

Gotta say - Prius is a great snow vehicle, just did great.
...meanwhile the trucks sit covered in ice & snow 'cause I still haven't gotten them FF'd. or winter tired.
But I am working 6 days a week for the rest of the year. Had almost a whole month of only 5 day weeks.

I’ll look into those, thanks. She’s having a hard time finding both the wheels and the tires that she wants in the same place, so she may have to order separately and have them mounted/balanced locally.

Work only opens at 10, and both the oldest and the Mrs have a 3 hour delay. Already went outside and cleared the driveway.

 

These stock tires are trash... absolute garbage.

 

I have a set of stock Tacoma tires on the Tundra. That's why it's parked & I'm driving the Prius. LOL, yep, junk - but they saved me gas in the summer.

Ordered up 6 cans of Fluid Film. I need to at least spray all my new gas & brake lines on the Tundra before it hits the roads. Tacoma needs a full spraying. The good news on that - friend just bought a full car carrier he said I could borrow. Once the roads are dried up I may use the Tundra to drag the Taco up to get them both sprayed. Danged lot of snow in the NW corner though.

1/2" of snow and I couldn't get around without 4wd... made me sad.

I use tirebuyer.com. They ship free to a number of select shops where you would have them mounted.

 

If she's going with new wheels and tires, I'd look online. @Discount Tire - Discount Tire Direct treated me good.

 

This, just picked up some Falken wildpeaks for $118.50 each shipped in 265/70/17 for my gen one prerunner. Amazing deal they price matched for me and then saved me an extra couple bucks. Had an account from a couple purchases in the past. Unfortunately don't think my rwd taco will do well in the snow.
