Anyone using 4runner trail wheels on there 3rd gen? post pics

No. I actually use 1.25" spacers under them as well.

 

I haven't put much time or effort into wheel, so please forgive my ignorance regarding wheel spacers. Did you just use them to push the wheel outward? Is this for that tire "poke" some folks like?

Did the FJ wheel look sunken in?

 

I like the 7-spoke design, and was able to find a set on Craigslist for $300. These have the gray finish and would have preferred the black trimmed ones, but it’s not that important to me.

 

Not as sunken in as the stock wheel. I spaced it because I went to 285s. They look good spaced out too though.

Neither, he had a local paint shop do them. The face of all the wheel look great, the spare is mint! However the inside of the 4 with tires look like this...

I'm looking for advise on how to clean these up and possibly seal them to avoid corrosion.

 

Just put mine on today. With 285/70r17 AT3Ws. Combination rides great.

For verification- when switching to these wheels you do not need to replace the tpms correct? I have the sport (alloy) so I think I read I’ll be fine and only those that have Steelies stock have to replace the sensors.

 

The 4Runner TPMS sensors cannot be programmed to the Tacoma. I moved the sensors from my stock sport wheels to the 4runner trail wheels.

 

Sorry that’s what I meant: using my stock sport tpms on these t4r wheels.

Truck looks damn good!! How high is the lift?

 

2/1 blistein with heavier coils up front. I’m about to add either another helper leaf or airbags to the rear. Sagging in the pick because there’s about 500lbs in the bed not including the canopy, but otherwise it’s pretty level

 

How’s the UCA clearance with 285’s? Do you run any wheel spacers?

 

In reference to my setup? Zero rubbing. I have SPC control arms. I am not running any wheel spacers. Also no CMC, cutting, or fender liner modification needed.
