that goes for every "action" sport not just BMX.

i have every same opinion about two things.

Surfing, and graffiti. (dont cry, i dont paint illegally but i love watching other people paint.)

Reminds me of the surfing films I watched in the 60's and 70's. Same feeling. No one out side the sport really understands.
    Nice post!

Cool! I've never really lost the BMX bug, I raced back in the late 70's til mid 80's, what great memories! I still have a few old school bikes and am getting tempted to race again after recently getting a GT cruiser :)

I feel the same way about whitewater kayaking. Having an outlet that is important to you makes life worth living. I have never been at a point in my life where I didn't eat sleep and breath some alternative sport, don't ever want to either.

Here's my new cruiser and one of my old school bikes. I've actually went to the track a few times on the cruiser, had a blast, though it does take a little getting used to.

That was an awesome video:D I remember racing at McLaren Park in San Francisco in 1974 against a guy on a Dan Gurney mono shock with motomag wheels. We rode Scwhinn stingrays with gussets welded onto the frame by the local muffler shop. We though we were smart by using longer cranks from a ten speed. The only parts you could buy off the shelf were Ashtabula forks and Redline goosenecks. Man have things changed.
