It's like that in my area too. Even switch to the left lane if there is a popo or EMT on the side of the road. And THEY enforce it.

That’s because they actually ENFORCE that law in Texas. We have the same law in CO, but nobody pays attention to it. This causes a bit of road rage in certain drivers on both ends of the spectrum...the ones who think they’re entitled to drive as fast as the car next to them and never scoot over, and the person right behind “that guy” who just wants to go. I like the idea, just would like them to enforce it here.

Not part of bad parking but this is more of an identity crisis. This Honda Ridgeline identifies as a Chevy. You may need to zoom on the emblem to see it

Local Total Wine. In the light rain. Taking up 4 spots nearest the store. When I came out he & his wife were talking to the mall security about how to move my car. They had an "asshole parking citation" that someone had left on their window. Something about being a giant frothy douche, but I didn't write it so I couldn't be sure. They were also trying to explain to the AAA operator where to send the guy with an air compressor to try inflating the driver front tire that had gone flat while they were parked there.

I got their attention on my side of the car and politely asked if I had clearance to pull out of the spot, since I was concerned about his questionable parking abilities & proximity to my car. I was assured I had room to vacate the spot. Thanked them for their time & bid them adieu with a snicker.

The majority of states have this law. Pennsylvania has it but does not display the signs, NJ displays the signs but most drivers ignore it and I’ve never witnessed the law enforced.

It also depends on how money hungry the popo are at the time.

That conduit job on the ceiling though!!

Someone took some pride in their work for sure. Electricians that take pride in conduit bending are getting fewer and fewer.

I wired my friend's barn in conduit once. I only messed up a couple bends out of about 200 feet and I'm not an electrician.

I'm not saying running conduit is hard, making it look like that is, did you run it to look like that in the picture with the couplers lined up that way, all the bends spaced evenly, all the straight runs spaced the same, all the tie in points at the box at the wall spaced evenly, every bend 90 degrees to keep your spacing on the perpendicular run, did you have no less than 23 separate conduits going into a big junction box right next to each other for a barn? Probably not, if you were then good job, otherwise I guess you don't understand the comment then.
Any monkey can strap a conduit to a wall or ceiling, making it look professional is a different matter.

    I noticed this as well!

I work for a good sized commercial/industrial shop, and I have been impressed by some of the conduit racks I've seen.

I've also seen my share of "good enough" conduit runs.

It's definitely a skill that requires a little extra dedication if you want it to look good.

Yeah, it’s like that through TX, OK and I believe LA too.

And OH BOY is it enforced. Hence why people obey it
