What will you do, LED Fogs that are only 1.5yrs old with water inside one

One of mine now shows water inside, definitely a defect. 10yr warranty stated. Never under water, only going down the highway. Buyer beware I was denied warranty replacement because I got them on this forum in a group buy. Hate to throw them in the trash.

 

You could try and remedy it yourself, pull out the fog light and dump any excess water out, use a hair dryer or heat gun if you have one to dry the inside, and seal the outside of the housing with a little silicone

 

These are sealed, I thought, and I got them with a warranty. If I open it up, sure thing no warranty.

 

Contact the seller from the group buy then

The failure is often the breather in the back, not necessarily the lens seal. You can’t seal the breather.

 

I'd sure like to know as well, I'm getting the run around. Told I'm SOL.

 

I've tried, he's been AWOL for a while I found out. Think I know why. Sure hate to throw these in the trash, maybe stock lights are best after all.

 

Did they not come directly from the manufacturer or authorized dealer?

 

We were led to believe so, TRSAndrew was the sales guy posted.

 

So I bet he bought and bunch from them and then resold them to y’all and made a quick buck, and not being an authorized dealer or business hence no warranty. That’s sucks.

Can't answer that, but the GB I was in was 1.5yrs ago, OP was different.

I was told today, if you don't buy directly from TRS, no warranty. Will happily share screen shot of email.

 

Bring them inside, let sit overnight buried in a sealed container of dessicant. Rice is ok in a pinch, a bag of damp-rid works better.

 

X2 easy fix, or ship to someone on their dime. Someone would gladly take those off your hands and fix them if you plan to throw them out

They are authorized and have been for a while. It sounds like the company is just starting to not care and wants to loose business. This is not the first Ive been reading about these guys going AWOL these last few weeks. I was going to by Morimoto XB fogs for my 2010 from them, but decided to go with a completely different vendor and lights.

Can you directly to the manufacturer and say hey one of your vendors isn’t honoring the warranty. Maybe they can help.
