I've never used shims in any of my previous Toyotas either. I don't recall ever having any vibrations from a mild 2" lift. Going closer to 4" is a different story though.

Definitely don’t get slotted ones. Get ones that bolt to the leaf pack.

will do. I have 3* shims from wheelers off-road. It’s a single piece that bolts to the leaf pack at the center pin, so there is no chance it will walk out.

A lot of guys over on the old TTORA forums ran the slotted ones without any problems. Those guys wheel their trucks hard.

not buying it. Show me more than 10 people on pirate 4x4 that run them and you may have a case.

That's fine, I've never used shims before, so I wouldn't know any better. Don't know what pirate 4x4 is, but I was active on TTORA back in the early 2000s and saw some guys run the slotted shims without any problems.

I have also never had any vibes with my All-Pro Expedition springs and Icon coil springs since I installed them shortly after I bought the truck in 2014 which gave me 2.5 to 3 inches of lift. I also have gone from add-a-leafs to the All-Pro Expedition springs after the add-a-leafs did not prove adequate for the eventual CBI rear bumper with the swing out (although it was OK with shell that I already had). That said, my Icons up front are set all the way at the top and I am basically level. Until I load it down that is or attach the trailer then it starts to take a bit off the lift in the back. Keep in mind I have my camper shell, CBI bumper with swing out (spare 33" tire and tool box) and about 100 lbs of gear in a box in back. This is my normal load. I'm surprised that when I had it loaded up with all my hunting gear, suit cases and etc for the family, 400 or lbs of elk meat and various other sundries that it wasn't well below that. Same thing for a previous hunting trip when I attached the off-road trailer. I was just a bit lower than level. Ideally like BamaTaco56 I would like 3-4 inches of lift with my normal load and level when loaded out for camping/hunting. I am also anticipating moving my battery system to a fabricated box where the spare tire should go as well as some other equipment and that would increase my "normal" load in back another 150-200lbs.

Haven’t forgotten about the pictures and measurements. Might not have my truck out of the garage until Friday though.

Tired of searching for a iPhone cord all the time and only being able to find one in a house full of apple products. So I duck taped me one to the wall. :D

Your truck looks like it handles your load pretty good!

You gonna be able to come to Chocco this weekend?
