These are vastly superior to camburgs or dirt kings...

Just dropping brand names is like saying ford > chevy, etc.

The better comparison for the billet Icons would be the kinetik billet UCA from Camburg. I have no experience or knowledge of either, but I highly doubt either is vastly better or worse than the other.

I don't think Dirt King has a billet UCA to run in this race.

Any upper control arm that puts your alignment castor back to spec or better, is a good UCA in my book! I ran TC UCAs for 5 years with no problems whatsoever. TC is the gold standard for UCAs from what I've read here on TW.

Agreed. From what I see the average person using their truck for and what they are doing with it and where they are taking it, any uca that gives good alignment is probably good for 99% of us. If you want to spend close to 1k on some uca bc they built up and have a lot of tech behind them more power to you, your money. Just seems unnecessary. It's like having 2k scope on a gun that never will be shot past 50 yards.

After all, an aftermarket UCA is only needed so you can clear bigger tires and/or get a good alignment after a lift. I don't plan on going over 2" again, so the factory UCAs work just fine for what I do with my truck.

I wish I would have bought a set to flip. I can't imagine at the price you paid, you won't turn a nice little profit to put to other mods.

Yea, and if they are needed, there are plenty of good more affordable options. The extra money would probably be better spent towards a more aggressive tire or rear locker than tier 1 gangsta UCA's.

lol I don't see anything wrong with high dollar stuff, but for those of us on a budget, excellent UCAs can be had for much cheaper, and still do the same thing.

My thoughts... i got two sets of Icon's with the thought of maybe putting one set on my truck but i don't know if i want to deal with the uniball. they have the delta joint for them but just seems a little much especially considering i already have SPC UCA's and recently replace the ball joints on those.

I saw the list of stuff you had lined up for your truck. I'd use all the profit on another one of those items. Esp since you already have SPC UCA's.

Read what you said. You said you saw them for 560, but for the money you would buy cambugs. Getting a billet UCA for the same or less than a budget brand is worth it. I had Amazon points and got additional promo cash back on my amazon card.

For that price (or even a little more) there is nothing remotely similar in design or with the amount of R&D behind it.

Now, would I ever pay $1299 for them compared to Camburgs? HELL NO. I completely agree at that price difference you get into diminishing returns.

For the price, I don’t see where the billet UCA is doing anything better than a typical TC, Camburg, JBA or DK UCA would do. The billets are more expensive because they are CNC milled out one big block of metal, more production time to build, and more costs introduced. As opposed to your typical bent tubing/welded UCAs. In the end, they all basically do the same thing, clear bigger tires and help bring your alignment back in to spec.

I am running 3” lift with stock UCAs and it does great and my alignment is fine and they have worked with 35s. I just bought JBA UCAs so I can hopefully go 37s with out as much cutting. There is nothing wrong with rocking the stock ones. Trying to flex 35s and they don’t rub from lock to lock

Damn, that’s the first I’ve seen of that, 35s on stock UCAs! I figured your tires would bow inwards at the bottom.

Billet is much stronger as there are no welds to break. Additionally, they are aluminum which will not rust...

But apparently it makes it so you have to park with one rear tire two feet higher than the other... Could make finding a spot at the mall difficult...
